David Macaulay
Regional director
David Macaulay is regional director for the Edinburgh office and provides discretionary management for a longstanding client base totalling some £130m. These cover private clients, pensions, trusts and charities. Elected to membership of the London Stock Exchange in 1989, David is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment at full diploma level achieved with distinction and a graduate of Edinburgh University.
David joined Rathbones in August 2000 after three years with Merrill Lynch setting up this group's Scottish business. Prior to joining Merrill Lynch, he spent 11 years with the Scottish stockbrokers, Bell Lawrie, rising to director level on the private client side as well as assuming responsibility for IT development and becoming a board member of the group’s execution-only operation Stocktrade.
