AWD Chase de Vere’s annual conference

Rathbones was a main sponsor at AWD Chase de Vere’s annual conference held at the Celtic Manor Resort, Newport, Wales. Our prime position at the event allowed our investment directors to talk with the AWD advisers and gain a better understanding of their views and opinions surrounding discretionary fund management and the role it can play in enhancing their business offering. Many agreed that it can serve to free up time, allowing advisers to focus more of their energies on their clients and areas of expertise. It was also interesting to hear that for some, concerns over cost and control still persist. Discussing this feed back face-to-face with advisers is greatly valued by Rathbones, as it not only allows us to explain where we can add real value but it also helps us to develop our bespoke service, which is something we continually strive to do.

In addition to our stand, Jane Seymour, Rathbones marketing director, presented at one of AWD Chase de Vere’s breakout sessions on business development, discussing how to identify and get the most out of existing and potential relationships. The conference ended with the Gala Dinner, which Tim Eliot-Cohen, Daniel Faulkner and Hollie Pitkeathly attended and celebrated the close of a successful conference.
