The Wessex Charity Awards, Hampshire
The Wessex Charity Awards is an initiative to honour the work undertaken by the charity sector in the Wessex region. Investment directors Georgina Hand and Will Kendall from Rathbones’ Winchester office joined individuals who work and volunteer for charities in the Wessex region to celebrate exceptional work locally. The impressive awards ceremony was held at Winchester Guildhall where heart-warming films showing the 16 finalists were screened and the winners were announced. Hosted by cricketing legend David Gower OBE and organised by Winchester-based, CHARISMA Charity Recruitment, each winning charity received an engraved trophy and a cash donation of £500.
Rathbones were sponsors of the Best Fundraising Project of the Year award, which was awarded to Simon Says for their outstanding work in supporting children and young people through bereavement in the Hampshire area. For more information about the charity, please see the Simon Says website.
Rathbones would like to congratulate all nominees and thank Charisma Charity Recruitment for hosting a wonderful evening.
