Rathbone Trust International is pleased to announce the expansion of its overseas operations through the acquisition of Federal Trust (Singapore) Pte. Ltd.
The Company will change its name to Rathbone Trust (Singapore) Pte. Limited and Mark Biddlecombe, a director of Rathbone Trust International’s operations in Jersey, will move to Singapore to work with the existing team and its managing director, Robert Meggy.
Ian Buckley, head of Rathbone Trust International, commented: “This acquisition provides us with an excellent base on which to build our presence in Singapore. Alongside our existing offices in London, Jersey, Geneva and the BVI, it will enhance our ability to offer our clients a quality service internationally.”

Federal Trust (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. is a licensed Singapore trust company regulated by the Monetary Authority of Singapore; it offers a comprehensive range of trustee and company management services to both private and corporate clients primarily within the Asia Pacific region. Prior to the acquisition, it was a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Federal Trust Group and was incorporated in 1996.
Rathbone Trust International is part of Rathbone Brothers Plc which is listed on the London Stock Exchange. Through its subsidiaries, it specialises in providing personalised investment management and wealth management services for private investors and trustees, including discretionary asset management, tax planning, trust and company management, and banking services. It has a market capitalisation of around £500 million.
