Rathbones expands Edinburgh team
Rathbone Investment Management (Rathbones), one of the UK’s leading and longest-established providers of discretionary investment management, today confirms the appointment of Keith MacKenzie to its Edinburgh office. Keith joins as investment director and will report to David Macaulay, Rathbones’ regional director based in Edinburgh.
Keith joins Rathbones from private client portfolio manager Williams de Broe where he was an investment manager. During his four years there, Keith was part of a team that managed £160m of private client assets, fostered business development relationships with the IFA community across Scotland and Northern Ireland and contributed to the asset allocation committee. Prior to this, Keith was an investment manager at Barclays Wealth and a business analyst at Royal London.
David Macaulay, Rathbones’ regional director, Edinburgh, said, “Keith has an impressive track-record not only in investment management but in the provision of an individual client focused service that Rathbones prides itself on. We are committed to growing our team, attracting the brightest talent to ensure our clients enjoy both excellent service and investment implementation. Keith’s background is an excellent fit in this regard.”
Commenting on his appointment, Keith said, “Rathbones continues to enjoy impressive growth by all metrics and yet remains focused on maintaining a highly personalised level of client attention. This is becoming increasingly unusual in today’s investment industry and I’m looking forward to using my skills to further benefit the business.”
Other new joiners to Rathbones in 2012 include Rowland Flower, Evangelos Assimakos, Caroline O’Callaghan, Tony Milner and James Neill who have joined Rathbones’ offices across the UK.
