We support the development of lacrosse across the UK with a focus on encouraging girls to play sport.
Team sports help young people to develop teamwork and commitment.
We have proudly supported lacrosse since 2011 and are committed to the development of the sport in the UK, through our partnerships with English Lacrosse and Lacrosse Scotland. Our main focus is centred on women’s junior lacrosse and encouraging girls to play sport, but we are also committed to the development of lacrosse as a whole. More information about our lacrosse sponsorship, including the 2017 Rathbones Women’s Lacrosse World Cup, can be found here.
“We are thrilled to be working in partnership with English Lacrosse and Lacrosse Scotland. Rathbones’ investment will support the growth of the sport and ensure the best possible experience for players and supporters at events." Philip Howell, Rathbones’ CEO.
Our partnership with English Lacrosse sees us sponsor a number of tournaments throughout the year. The premier lacrosse event in the British schools calendar is the Rathbones National Schools Lacrosse Championships (RNSLC), a five-day tournament which provides an opportunity for over 3,000 players to play against their peers from across the UK.
We also support the development of the sport initiall through the Rathbones Community Expansion Programme and now through the Rathbones Bursary and sponsorship of the Rathbones National POP Lacrosse Tournament.
In Scotland we sponsor a number of tournaments in the schools sport calendar and are supporting Lacrosse Scotland to introduce the sport to new schools across the country.
We are also very proud of the Rathbones Fund which supports the development of the sport across all levels in Scotland, including men, women, mixed, juniors and schools. Find out how to make an application to the fund.
