We are now looking to grow this proposition, to meet the growing demand from individuals, and charity trustees to make a positive change with their money. This role represents a unique opportunity to join a growing investment management firm, which is a pioneer in the responsible investment field.

We are seeking an experienced investment professional who shares our passion for people and planet and is motivated by addressing social and environmental issues through impact investment.

 Core responsibilities

  • Identifying and sourcing impact-driven investment opportunities from social enterprises who are considering social impact investment to fund their growth

  • Identifying potential external partners that can amplify our work

  • Carrying out due diligence and financial analysis to assess investment opportunities. This may include visiting the companies, either on your own or with other team members

  • Monitoring investments made and reporting progress to the Greenbank team as part of our wider investment process

Secondary responsibilities

  • Working collaboratively and building relationships across the wider organisation to ensure that the end-to-end process runs efficiently (operations, reporting, etc.)

  • Representing the company at impact investing events and other profile-raising activities

Knowledge and skills required

  • Proven ability to build new relationships and partnerships effectively

  • Demonstrable interest in impact investment either in a personal or professional capacity and an enthusiasm and passion for making a positive difference that is inspiring to others

  • Ability to understand and interpret business and impact strategy within the context of a values-led enterprise

  • Commercial acumen and ability to creatively identify attractive business opportunities for investment

  • Strong financial modelling skills

  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

  • Strong networking and influencing skills

  • Ability to make the complex simple when explaining investment proposals in terms of social impact

  • Focused, forward-planner, capable of prioritising and working in a systematic and organised way

Desirable experience and skills

  • Existing network in impact investment field

  • Knowledge of impact investment terminology and reporting standards (e.g. Impact Management Project, GIIN, etc.)

Qualifications

  • Educated to degree standard

  • Financial qualifications such as CFA or ACCA
