Job Title: Junior ESG & Stewardship Analyst

To support the ESG and Stewardship team through the execution of performance tracking and reporting of group proxy voting, ESG engagement activities and the integration of ESG in the research process.

A developmental role to embark on a career as an ESG analyst.

Key accountabilities

ESG & Responsible Investment

  • Monitor proxy voting activities, ensuring timely execution of proxy votes for RIM and RUTM

  • Assist Stewardship Director in management of the Stewardship, Responsible Investment , and UN PRI Committees

  • Assist with the formatting & provision of ESG data to the Research team.

  • Provide support for Investment manager queries on ESG integration issues.

Company Engagement

  • Maintain accurate engagement records

  • Produce quarterly engagement reports

  • Assist with the production of annual Stewardship Reports.

  • Assist with ESG engagements.


  • Maintain and develop internal documents on governance and engagement processes

  • Respond to governance and proxy voting related queries in DDQs and RFIs.

Knowledge and skills required

  • Degree level education in relevant subject (Law, Finance, Business)
  • Relevant ICSA Qualifications (Advanced Certificate in Corporate Governance) would be desirable or other demonstrable knowledge of issues relating to corporate governance or sustainability (ACCA, MSc, PGC etc).
  • Strong IT skills including proficiency with Excel an advantage
  • Strong analytical & research abilities
  • Interest in corporate sustainability
  • Knowledge of key ESG themes.  
  • Highly motivated self-starter able to work independently, taking initiative to address problems.
