We are seeking an experienced Payroll Administrator to contribute to our specialist Payroll team based in Liverpool, working to tight internal and external deadlines within an ever-changing regulatory framework. 

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Collating and inputting variable data on a monthly basis within pre-agreed deadlines, seeking necessary authorisations as appropriate and submission for payroll processing
  • Checking and reconciliation of allowances, deductions from pay, new starters, leavers and permanent changes in preparation for counter review and Payroll Manager sign off
  • Working with stakeholders such as HR, Finance and 3rd parties to allocate costs and reconciliation of payroll outputs
  • Assisting with year-end processes and distribution of P11D's, P60's and Jersey Benefit in Kind statements
  • Producing and reviewing remuneration reports from the payroll system including headcount and management information
  • Ensuring provision is professional and consistent when advising HR Managers/staff on resolution of queries
  • Covering payroll inbox and dealing with related queries

You will have:

  • Previous experience of payroll or accounting approaches is essential
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills with experience of processing high volumes of data efficiently and accurately whilst adhering to strict deadlines
  • Intermediate or higher excel skills desirable
  • Experience of developing innovative solutions to problems and implementing consequential changes
  • Highly motivated and conscientious
  • Good Microsoft Office skills
  • Strong reconciliation processing skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work to and meet multiple tight deadlines
