Another win for the charities team at the 18th Annual Charity Times awards
Rathbones’ charity team was delighted to win the Investment Manager of the Year award for the second year running at the 18th Annual Charity Times Awards on 4 October.
The awards celebrate best practice in the UK charity and not-for-profit sector and Rathbones were one of seven investment management firms shortlisted. The ceremony, run by Charity Times, took place at the Park Plaza on Westminster Bridge with winners announced by comedian Shappi Khorsandi.
Bpas, ClientEarth, Fareshare UK, The Encephalitis Society and Sapper Support were recognised as charity of the year in their respective 17 August 2022
Rathbones expands in Scotland with new Glasgow office
Rathbones today announces the opening of its new office at The Athenaeum, 8 Nelson Mandela Place in Glasgow, increasing its presence in Scotland. This complements Rathbones’ established operations in Edinburgh and Aberdeen, bringing its total number of offices across the UK and Channel Islands to 15.
The office will be led by regional director, Angus Kerr. Angus is a key figure in the Glasgow investment management sector and has over 18 years’ experience managing client portfolios. He will be supported by:

Appointment of Group Finance Director
Rathbones Group Plc (“Rathbones”) today announces that Jennifer Mathias has been appointed Group Finance Director, subject to regulatory approval. Jennifer will join Rathbones on 1 April 2019 and will also be appointed as an Executive Director to the Rathbones board and a member of the Group Executive Committee. This role will sit alongside the roles of the CEO and Managing Director of Rathbone Investment Management, increasing the total number of Executive Directors on the board from two to three.

Highlights
- Total funds under management and administration passed a significant milestone, reaching £50.4 billion at 31 December 2019, up 14.3% from £44.1 billion at 31 December 2018. The FTSE 100 Index increased 12.1% and the MSCI PIMFA Private Investor Balanced Index increased 13.1% over 2019.
- Funds in Rathbone Investment Management grew 11.7% to £43.0 billion (31 December 2018: £38.5 billion). Operating income in Investment Management was strong, increasing 12.9% to £310.9 million for the year ended 31 December 2019 (2018: £275.3 million), reflecting a full year of income of Speirs &

Rathbones secures title sponsor of the 2017 Women's Lacrosse World Cup
Rathbone Brothers Plc, the FTSE 250 wealth management company, has increased its commitment to English Lacrosse by becoming the title sponsor of the 2017 FIL Women’s Lacrosse World Cup.
The FIL Rathbones Women’s Lacrosse World Cup will be hosted at Surrey Sports Park the 13 – 22 July 2017. This will be the 10th Women’s World Cup and more than 26 nations are expected to compete for the world title. The nine day event will welcome over 10,000 spectators, 700 elite athletes and 2,000 festival lacrosse participants.
