Rathbone Investment Management confirms that its fifth annual Charity Symposium will be held on 18 September 2014 at the Saatchi Gallery, London.  At what is now a well-established event in the not-for-profit calendar, Rathbones’ spokespeople will be joined by Baroness Manningham-Buller, former head of MI5, and John Timpson, chairman of the Timpson family business.

This year, the Charity Symposium, aimed at charity trustees and their advisers, takes “new perspectives” as its central theme. Rathbones believes that good investment requires an open mind and the outperforming assets of tomorrow

The Board of Rathbones announces that further to the announcement made on 21 August 2017, exclusive merger discussions with Smith & Williamson have been terminated.

Fourth quarter trading update

Rathbones Group Plc (“Rathbones”) announces a trading update for the three months ended 30 September 2018.

A Hampshire Scout has successfully completed the world’s first Scout expedition to Antarctica.  The polar expedition, sponsored by Rathbones Winchester, saw Joe Doherty, (25) become the first to ski to the South Pole and to complete the return leg of his journey by wind-powered kite ski. 

After man-hauling food and kit, enduring average temperatures of -27 degrees Celsius and regularly climbing to an altitude of 2900 metres, Joe reached the South Pole after a gruelling 45 days. He successfully completed the expedition in just 61 days.
