Carl Hunter

Carl is a assistant investment manager working alongside Ian Hardcastle, Justine Peck, Phil Wyatt and Oliver Northover. He joined Rathbones in 2021 following the completion of BSc (Hons) degree in Economics / Accounting and Finance from the Aberystwyth University. Carl is an associate member of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investments having successfully completed the Investment Advice Diploma in August 2022. Carl is currently studying toward the Chartered Wealth Manager qualification.

Marcus Hutchings

Marcus is an investment director specialising in private client portfolio management, associated self invested pension schemes and trusts. He also manages investment portfolios on behalf of charities. He is a graduate of Exeter University and the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, and is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment. The early part of his financial career was spent at Killik & Co in London before joining Rathbones in 1997.

Angus Oakshott

I manage assets on behalf of private individuals, charities, trusts and personal pension schemes, using Investec's excellent in-house research team to monitor and tailor these portfolios.

David Goodliffe

David graduated from the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne in 2009 with a BA (Hons) Financial & Business Economics and a MSc in Banking & Finance. He spent eight years at Brewin Dolphin, prior to joining Rathbones in 2020. David is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment, a Chartered Wealth Manager and a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) charterholder.

Lindsey Cross

I am an investment director working in a team that looks after assets for private individuals and trusts, as well as pension schemes and charities. Additionally, I provide discretionary fund management (DFM) for a number of financial advisers across the North West. I work closely with the financial planning team in Liverpool advising on areas including inheritance tax planning and putting in place tax-efficient structures, such as SIPPs and offshore bonds, in which their investment portfolios can be managed.

Chris Coomber

Chris has been helping clients for almost two decades, with a particular specialism in partners at PwC and other accountancy and law practices, as well as barristers and other city professionals. Chris has a Masters Degree in Economics from the University of Cambridge, is a Chartered Financial Planner and a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society. He joined Saunderson House (SHL) in 2007 and is now part of Rathbones Financial Planning following the acquisition of SHL in October 2021.

Christie Goncalves

Christie is assistant fund manager in the fixed income team.Christie joined Rathbones in January 2024, arriving with 15 years of experience in fixed income markets, most recently at Vanguard where she spent eight years as an assistant portfolio manager on global corporate Environment Social and Governance (ESG) funds and ETFs, and as a senior trader focused on European and UK government and corporate bonds. Prior to this she was an emerging markets trader and portfolio manager for Stanlib in South Africa.

David Herdsman

Based in the Leeds Office, David joined Rathbones in 2023. He has over 24 years of industry experience, having most recently worked as an Investment Director at Brown Shipley. At Rathbones, David is responsible for managing multi-asset investment portfolios for private individuals, trusts, companies and pension funds. He places the utmost importance on building close relationships with his clients and delivering the highest quality of service.

Elizabeth Hart

Elizabeth is an Investment Director delivering a discretionary portfolio management service, specialising in looking after large family structures, complex private clients, and trusts. Within Rathbones she chairs Investment Managers Network and a member of the Industrials and Resources Equities Selection Committee. Elizabeth and her team aim to give peace of mind to their clients, safe in the knowledge that their wealth is being managed professionally and conscientiously.

Max Rogers

Max joined Rathbones in September 2020. Max has a degree in International Financial Services from the University of Buckingham, which he studied for at the Jersey International Business School. Max began his career in 2019 working at STANLIB Fund Managers in Jersey, where he worked on the multi-manager team assisting with fund research and fund analysis across all asset classes. Max holds the CISI Investment Advice Diploma and is studying towards the Level 7 Chartered Wealth Manager qualification.

Peter Jackson

Peter joined Saunderson House (now Rathbones Financial Planning) in 2001, having read Economics at university. He is a Charted Financial Planner who has been authorised to provide advice since 2004, specialising in private client advice. Outside of work he is married with two daughters and son who keep him busy, though he is also a keen sportsman and enjoys travelling.

Jenny Foster

Jenny joined Rathbones in 2021 as part of the distribution team. In April 2024, she started as an engagement analyst working with all the fund management franchises to deliver Rathbone Asset Management's engagement strategy and lead direct engagements with companies. Jenny previously held internships at Polar Capital, Artemis Investment Management and Odey Asset Management. Jenny holds a BSC (Hons) Economics degree from the University of Birmingham.
