ARION - speed bike

ARION 2 bike on display

In 2015 and 2016, a team of undergraduates from the University of Liverpool attempted to break the world land speed record for the fastest human-powered vehicle with their ARION speed bike.

Having broken the men’s British record in 2015 with ARION1, they returned in 2016 with the new and improved ARION2 successfully breaking both the men’s and women’s British land speed records reaching 76.59mph and 71.05mph respectively.

We are proud to support such an inspiring project, pushing the limits of innovation and developing tomorrow’s innovators and entrepreneurs in our own home city.
