Alan Martin is an investment director for Rathbone Investment Management International and manages a range of private client, trust, corporate and charity portfolios. Alan is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment.
Alan began his career in offshore finance in 1987 with AIB Bank in Jersey and prior to joining Rathbones in October 2012, he was responsible AIB’s offshore investment proposition.
Catherine manages the offshore operational infrastructure supporting the growing international private client business. She has over 18 years experience in the finance industry, qualifying as a Chartered Accountant with Deloitte in 2000.
Ian is the company secretary and operations manager at Rathbone Investment Management International, having been with Rathbones since 2002, after the acquisition of Oaktree Investment Management by Rathbones Brother Plc.
Ian in his current role has responsibility for offshore operations, and oversees the Company Secretarial function.
He began his career with Royal Bank of Canada, then Royal Trust, in 1987 before joining Lazards in 1992. Ian was a member of the team that established the investment management operation for Société Générale in Jersey in 1997 before moving to Oaktree Investment Management, an independent investment business in 1999.
Jonathan Giles is managing director of Rathbone Investment Management International, he manages a range of private client, trust and charity portfolios and for the past five years has been included in the Citywealth Honours List, which recognises professionals in the private wealth management industry who have ‘technical expertise, trusted status, integrity and reputation’. He is also an Adjunct Lecturer at the Jersey International Business School. Jonathan has 30 years’ private client management experience, is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment and chairs the company’s Investment Committee and also sits on the Rathbone Strategic Asset Allocation Committee. He joined Rathbone Investment Management International in January 2006.
Matthew Sutton is a client director at Rathbone Investment Management International. He has worked in the private client investment management industry for over 35 years, most recently as a director of Cazenove Capital in Jersey. In that time he has worked closely with trust companies, consultants, individuals and their advisers providing solutions in investment management, banking and debt structuring. Matthew is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment. He holds the Diploma in Company Direction from the Institute of Directors, a Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing, and the Banking Diploma from the Chartered Institute of Bankers.
Phil Bain is the deputy managing director of Rathbone Investment Management International. He manages a range of private client, trust and charity portfolios and sits on both Jersey and Group Investment Committees at Rathbones. Phil is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers, a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (CISI) and holds the Investment Management Certificate (IIMR). He joined Rathbones from Close International Asset Management, where he was the lead investment manager responsible for managing Close’s multi-award winning All Weather Fund. Phil has worked in the finance industry for 32 years, both in Jersey and the United Kingdom; and he has extensive private and investment banking experience, having also worked previously at SG Hambros and NatWest Bank.
Richard is a client director at Rathbone Investment Management International. He is primarily responsible for the growth of the overseas private client base with an emphasis on Asia. Richard is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment, holds a Diploma in Trust and Estate Practice and has two degrees in financial services. Richard joined Rathbones in September 2018 and has 19 years’ experience in financial services in both Jersey and Hong Kong, most recently with HSBC and Brooks Macdonald.
Tim Ford is an investment director for Rathbone Investment Management International and manages a range of private client, trust and charity portfolios. Tim is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment and holds the Investment Advice Certificate and the Certificate in Investment Management. He sits on both the Rathbone Fixed Income and Collectives committees and has particular responsibility for research and selection of 'best-of-breed' Japanese funds for the group.
Tim began his career in 1998 with the Bank of New York in London and moved to Jersey in 1999 to join Cater Allen Investment Management, which was acquired by Close International Asset Management in 2001. Tim was responsible for managing private client investment portfolios and was part of the investment team that was responsible for managing the award winning multi-manager, multi-asset Close All Weather Fund.
Tom is an investment director with Rathbone Investment Management International and is a Chartered Wealth Manager. He manages a range of private client, trust and charity portfolios and sits on the Rathbones Jersey Investment Committee. Tom joined Rathbones in May 2007 and has over 14 years’ experience specialising in the offshore finance industry. He is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (CISI).
Vaughan Rimeur is a director of Rathbone Investment Management International having joined the company in January 2008, he manages a range of private client and trust portfolios for local and overseas clients and sits on the investment committee. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment.
