Alan Martin is an investment director for Rathbone Investment Management International and manages a range of private client, trust, corporate and charity portfolios. Alan is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment.
Alan began his career in offshore finance in 1987 with AIB Bank in Jersey and prior to joining Rathbones in October 2012, he was responsible AIB’s offshore investment proposition.
Catherine manages the offshore operational infrastructure supporting the growing international private client business. She has over 18 years experience in the finance industry, qualifying as a Chartered Accountant with Deloitte in 2000.
Grant Hamilton is a director of Rathbones Investment Management International. He has worked in the private client investment management industry for over 20 year where his roles have included managing director of Merrill Lynch in the Channel Islands and a board director of Schroders (C.I.) Limited. In that time he has worked closely with trust companies, individuals and consultants providing solutions in investment management, banking and debt structuring. Grant is a member of the Chartered Institute for Securities, an Associate of the Institute of Financial Services and holds a BSc (Hons) in Financial Services.
Ian is a director of Rathbone Investment Management International, having been with Rathbones since 2002, after the acquisition of Oaktree Investment Management by Rathbones Brother Plc.
Ian in his current role has responsibility for offshore operations, which includes the Money Laundering Reporting Officer function, and oversees the company secretarial function.
He began his career with Royal Bank of Canada, then Royal Trust, in 1987 before joining Lazards in 1992. Ian was a member of the team that established the investment management operation for Société Générale in Jersey in 1997 before moving to Oaktree Investment Management, an independent investment business in 1999.
Jonathan Giles is managing director of Rathbone Investment Management International, he manages a range of private client, trust and charity portfolios and for the past five years has been included in the Citywealth Honours List, which recognises professionals in the private wealth management industry who have ‘technical expertise, trusted status, integrity and reputation’. He is also an Adjunct Lecturer at the Jersey International Business School. Jonathan has 26 years’ private client management experience, is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment and chairs the company’s Investment Committee and also sits on the Rathbone Strategic Asset Allocation Committee. He joined Rathbone Investment Management International in January 2006.
Phil Bain is deputy managing director of Rathbone Investment Management International Ltd. He is deputy manager on the Rathbone Investment Management International Strategy Funds, manages a range of private client, trust and charity portfolios and sits on the Investment Committee. Phil is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers, a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment and holds the Investment Management Certificate (IIMR).
Phil has worked in the finance industry for 28 years both in Jersey and the United Kingdom and joined from Close International Asset Management where he was the lead investment manager responsible for managing Close’s multi-award winning All Weather Fund. Phil has extensive private and investment banking experience having previously worked at SG Hambros and NatWest Bank.
Tim Ford is an investment director for Rathbone Investment Management International and manages a range of private client, trust and charity portfolios. Tim is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Instituted for Securities and Investment and holds the Investment Advice certificate and the certificate in Investment Management. He sits on both the Rathbone Fixed Income and Collectives committees and has particular responsibility for research and selection of 'best-of-breed' Japanese funds for the group.
Tim began his career in 1998 with the Bank of New York in London and moved to Jersey in 1999 to join Cater Allen Investment Management, which was acquired by Close International Asset Management in 2001. Tim was responsible for managing private client investment portfolios and was part of the investment team that was responsible for managing the award winning multi-manager, multi-asset Close All Weather Fund.
Tom Lovell is an investment manager with Rathbone Investment Management International.
Tom has over 10 years experience working in the offshore finance industry in Jersey, seven of which have been with Rathbones managing investment portfolios for a range of private clients, trusts and charities and sits on the company’s Investment Committee.
Tom is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments (CISI) and has been awarded the designation of Chartered Wealth Manager.
Vaughan Rimeur is a director of Rathbone Investment Management International having joined the company in January 2008, he manages a range of private client and trust portfolios for local and overseas clients and sits on the investment committee. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment.
