Executive Chair of Rathbones Asset Management and Group Chief Distribution Officer

Jayne Rogers is executive chair of Rathbones Asset Management Ltd (RAM) and Chief Distribution Officer of Rathbones Group.  Jayne works closely with RAM’s chief executive Tom Carroll to oversee the growth of the funds and intermediary businesses, as well as developing and delivering a distribution strategy for the wealth management business. Jayne previously worked for Morgan Stanley Investment Management (MSIM), where she was latterly EMEA head of strategic initiatives. At MSIM she had oversight of strategy, regulation and governance. She chaired the Regulatory Committee and co-chaired the Operating Committee. She also led the integration of strategic mergers and acquisitions. Prior to this, Jayne was head of institutional business, Hong Kong and ASEAN for Robeco Asset Management where she built its institutional distribution across the region. She has also worked for KPMG Investment Advisory, as head of fund manager research, Mercer Investment Consulting, The Wellcome Trust and Adam & Company.

Tom is the CEO of Rathbones Asset Management, having joined us in March 2022 as chief investment officer. Tom has over 25 years’ experience in the industry and joined from Sanlam UK where he was head of asset management. 

Tom spent much of his career as a fund manager with M&G and Schroders before co-founding the investment boutique FOUR Capital Partners, which was then bought by Sanlam. Tom is also Chartered Accountant, having worked at Coopers & Lybrand (now PricewaterhouseCoopers). 

Tom is the CEO of Rathbones Asset Management, having joined us in March 2022 as chief investment officer. Emma joined in October 2024 as the equity research analyst for Rathbones Multi-Asset and Rathbones Greenbank Multi-Asset funds. Prior to joining Rathbones, Emma spent seven years covering the European Consumer Staples sector as an equity research analyst at RBC Capital Markets. She is a CFA charterholder and graduated from the University of Nottingham with a first in BSc Economics.

Emma joined in October 2024 as the equity research analyst for Rathbones Multi-Asset and Rathbones Greenbank Multi-Asset funds. Prior to joining Rathbones, Emma spent seven years covering the European Consumer Staples sector as an equity research analyst at RBC Capital Markets. Tim is the head of global emerging market equities and fund manager. Tim is responsible for overseeing the global emerging market equity strategies at RAM. He has almost 40 years of investment experience. Before RAM he was Investment Director at GAM, in a similar role, for 12 years. He has also worked as Senior Portfolio Manager, managing long/short emerging market equities at CQS, and Senior Portfolio Manager and Director at Cazenove Capital Management. Earlier in his career he ran portfolios at BlackRock (formerly Merrill Lynch Investment Managers) and HSBC Asset Management (Hong Kong and New York), after which he became Managing Director/Head of EM Research & Strategy of major sell-side positions. Tim is also a Chartered AI analyst.

Lisa is the Head of Asia ex-Japan Equities and fund manager. Lisa joined from Prusik Investment Management where she was a Partner and Portfolio Manager and was instrumental in setting up and leading its sustainable investing capabilities. Prior to this she was a fund manager at Columbia Threadneedle for over a decade and led several Asia equities institutional portfolios. Lisa started her career in academic research and was a tenure track Assistant Professor in Engineering at the National University of Singapore. Lisa serves as a Board Trustee and on the Investment Committee of Foundation Scotland and is an INED of Sime Darby Properties.

Before this he was Director, Business Development at Franklin Templeton, for seven years, with responsibility for establishing and maintaining relationships across multi-managers, global financial institutions, private banks, family offices, DFMs and advisory clients. He also spent seven years at Hermes Fund Managers in wholesale business development in the UK and Channel Islands.

Sam is the Head of London and Global Financial Institutions. Tom is a Business Development Director for the West and South Wales region, responsible for supporting, engaging, and building relationships with wealth managers, financial advisers, and intermediary clients across the region. He joined Rathbones in 2025 from Vanguard Asset Management, where he spent 11 years leading business development across the South West and Wales. Prior to this, Tom worked as a Financial Planner for 11 years, both in the UK and overseas. He is also a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (CISI).

Tom is a Business Development Director for the West and South Wales region, responsible for supporting, engaging, and building relationships with wealth managers, financial advisers, and intermediary clients across the region. He joined Rathbones in 2025 from Vanguard Asset Management, where he spent 11 years leading business development across the South West and Wales. Steve is the head of the strategic partnerships and regional distribution teams at Rathbones. Prior to joining the firm, Steve spent 14 years at Columbia Threadneedle Investments, where he was most recently Co-Head UK Distribution and was a member of the EMEA Distribution Senior Leadership Team. He previously held the roles of Head of Advisory & Strategic Partners and Director, Third Party Distribution at the company. Before this he was Sales Director, Strategic Partners at F&C Investments and also spent several years at Barclays Stockbrokers. He joined the Industry in 1989 and holds the IMC.

Kim Nelson is a business development director leading asset management distribution in Scotland and Northern Ireland, responsible for engaging, supporting, and building relationships with wealth managers, financial advisers and intermediary clients across the region.

Kim joined in January 2025 from Schroders, where she was head of the Client Group for Scotland and Northern Ireland. In this role, she led all contact with intermediary clients in those regions. Prior to this she spent almost five years with Tilney, previously Deutsche Bank, as relationship manager and business development manager.

James has been working in Asset Management for over 25 years and joined Rathbones Asset Management from Legal & General Investment Management in September 2024. James has also held long tenure as Head UK Retail Distribution at Jupiter Asset Management after starting his career in the sector at Invesco in 1999. His role is to manage the distribution teams at Rathbones Asset Management who service Intermediary clients, including financial advisers, wealth managers, banks, platforms, and institutions. 

James sets and monitors the strategy and delivery of the service to the intermediary clients and works with other business partners at Rathbones Asset Management to ensure customer service delivery, product governance and regulatory adherence. James is a member of The Investment Associations Sector Committee, a Member of The Investment Managers Guild and a Freeman of The City of London.

James has been working in Asset Management for over 25 years and joined Rathbones Asset Management from Legal &amp; General Investment Management in September 2024. Will holds the Investment Advice Diploma (Level 4) and has an MA in Economics from Heriot Watt University.

Will is a Business Development Executive focused on building relationships with Financial Advisors and Discretionary Fund Managers in the East of England and Scotland.
