Tilia Astell

Tilia joined Rathbones in 2022. She oversees the Group’s thematic work on nature-related risks and opportunities – this includes leading engagements focusing on chemical pollution and regenerative agriculture and working on engagements on deforestation and water security. She also co-leads engagement on climate risk in the banking sector and supports engagement with mining companies and standard-setters on best practices. Tilia also carries out informed proxy voting and supports the integration of ESG factors within the investment process.

Scott is a Financial Planner and he provides holistic advice to private clients. He explores clients’ long-term goals and aspirations and develops a suitable financial plan considering their specific circumstances.
Scott started his career in financial services shortly after graduating from the University of Edinburgh. He worked with a small specialist financial advice firm based in Totnes in Devon. After returning to Edinburgh, Scott has worked in boutique wealth management firms and has been advising private clients across the UK.
