We started life as a family-run timber merchant, and by 1912 focused solely on managing our clients’ wealth. Today, we’re a top 3 UK wealth manager, with over 20 offices across the UK and Channel Islands.

We're also proud to support our wider community through initiatives like the Rathbones Group Foundation.

Rathbones and University of Liverpool team up to attempt land speed record

Rathbones today announces that it will provide principal sponsorship for the University of Liverpool’s project to design and build ARION1, a bicycle which will attempt to break the land speed record for fastest human powered vehicle, and bring the record to the UK for the first time.

The project will see a team of undergraduate students from the University of Liverpool’s School of Engineering attempt the record in September this year, as part of the World Human Power Speed Challenge – an annual event held in Battle Mountain, Nevada.
