We started life as a family-run timber merchant, and by 1912 focused solely on managing our clients’ wealth. Today, we’re a top 3 UK wealth manager, with over 20 offices across the UK and Channel Islands.

We're also proud to support our wider community through initiatives like the Rathbones Group Foundation.

Completion of the acquisition of the Personal Injury and Court of Protection business of Barclays Wealth

Further to the announcement made on 28 November 2019 Rathbones Group Plc ("Rathbones") announces that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Rathbone Investment Management Limited, has completed the acquisition of the Personal Injury and Court of Protection business of Barclays Wealth. Clients representing approximately £450m of FUM have successfully transferred to Rathbones.

Rathbones’ Investment Director becomes Master of the Guild of Investment Managers

Investment Director at Rathbone Investment Management, Robert Hughes-Penney, has today become the Master of the Guild of Investment Managers.

Robert Hughes-Penney, Deputy Head of Rathbones London, is a founding member of the Guild of Investment Managers, which was established in 2015.

Appointment of Group Finance Director

Rathbones Group Plc (“Rathbones”) today announces that Jennifer Mathias has been appointed Group Finance Director, subject to regulatory approval. Jennifer will join Rathbones on 1 April 2019 and will also be appointed as an Executive Director to the Rathbones board and a member of the Group Executive Committee. This role will sit alongside the roles of the CEO and Managing Director of Rathbone Investment Management, increasing the total number of Executive Directors on the board from two to three.
