Joel is an investment director at Rathbones Investment Management International in Jersey and manages multi-asset discretionary portfolios for private clients, offshore trusts and charities. Joel is a Chartered Financial Analyst charterholder (CFA). He is also a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment, having passed the CISI Certificate in Private Client Investment Advice and Management (PCIAM) with distinction. In addition, he holds the Diploma in Financial Planning from the Chartered Insurance Institute. In his spare time, he runs courses helping candidates preparing for their CFA exams.

Joel began his finance career in 2005 as a commercial wealth manager with HSBC in Leeds and Jersey. In 2010 he moved to Barclays Bank Offshore, and was responsible for the management of the Barclays ‘International Funds’ discretionary portfolios for international clients, trusts and charities. Joel moved to Smith & Williamson in 2015 as a senior portfolio manage and joined Rathbones at the start of 2019.

Connor joined Rathbones in October 2020 as part of the Graduate Programme. He graduated from Northumbria University with a First-Class Honours Degree in Business Management, having won the Hewitson Award for the highest overall mark obtained in the Newcastle Business School. During his studies, he completed a 1-year placement at Asset Risk Consultants. Connor obtained the Investment Advice Diploma in 2021 and is currently studying towards the Level 7 Chartered Wealth Manager qualification.

Tim is an investment director at Rathbones Investment Management International Ltd (RIMI), having joined the company in 2007, and manages a range of private client, trust and charity portfolios. He is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment and holds the Investment Advice Certificate, the Certificate in Investment Management and the CFA Certificate in ESG Investing. Tim sits on the Jersey Executive Committee and has responsibility for RIMI’s Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) considerations. He manages a range of private client, trust and charity portfolios and for the past seven years has been included in the Citywealth Honours List, which recognises professionals in the private wealth management industry who have ‘technical expertise, trusted status, integrity and reputation’. He is also an adjunct lecturer at the Jersey International Business School. Jonathan has 34 years’ private client management experience, is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment and chairs the company’s Investment Committee. He joined Rathbones Investment Management International in January 2006.

Lee has over 15 years finance industry experience, with the last 12 years gained in investment management including managing trust, private client and institutional portfolios, with particular expertise in macroeconomics and bonds. At Rathbones Lee sits on the group Fixed Interest Committee. Lee is a graduate of St. Andrews University with an MA (Hons) in Management and Economics; he also has an MBA from Edinburgh University. Lee is an Adjunct Professor at the Jersey International Business School and is a Chartered Fellow of the CISI.

Alan began his career in offshore finance in 1987 with AIB Bank in Jersey and prior to joining Rathbones in October 2012, he was responsible for AIB’s offshore investment proposition.

Alan is an investment director for Rathbones Investment Management International and manages a range of private client, trust, corporate and charity portfolios. Alan is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment. Victoria is an assistant investment manager with Rathbones Investment Management International in Jersey. She has over 17 years’ experience in the finance industry, four years of which have been in Jersey in trust and private banking. Victoria joined Rathbones in 2012 having previously worked at Nomura Asset Management in London.  

She is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment, having obtained the Investment Advice Diploma. Victoria also holds the Investment Management Certificate.

Phil is the deputy managing director of Rathbones Investment Management International. He manages a range of private client, trust and charity portfolios and sits on both Jersey and Group Investment Committees at Rathbones. Phil is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers, a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (CISI) and holds the Investment Management Certificate (IIMR).

He joined Rathbones from Close International Asset Management, where he was the lead investment manager responsible for managing Close’s multi-award winning All Weather Fund. Phil has worked in the finance industry for 37 years, both in Jersey and the United Kingdom; and he has extensive private and investment banking experience, having also worked previously at SG Hambros and NatWest Bank.

Phil is the deputy managing director of Rathbones Investment Management International. He manages a range of private client, trust and charity portfolios and sits on both Jersey and Group Investment Committees at Rathbones. Peter is primarily responsible for the growth and servicing of our professional intermediary client base, with an emphasis on Jersey. He joined Rathbones in August 2022 and has 14 years’ experience in financial services. He relocated to Jersey in 2009 with Capita Asset Management Limited before joining Jersey Finance where he promoted Jersey’s financial services industry in Asia, Middle East and Sub-Sharan Africa. Most recently he was Head of Trustee solutions for Brooks Macdonald International. Peter is a member of STEP, CISI and CIM. He holds the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners Certificate in International Trust Management, the Charted Institute of Marketing Postgraduate diploma in Analysis & decision making and Managing Corporate Reputation, and has a Business & Marketing degree.

Andrew has over 30 years’ experience in financial services and is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (CISI). He started his career with Barclays Bank fulfilling a broad variety of roles, including Treasury Manager and Corporate Manager before joining RBC in 2000 where he was responsible for the management and growth of a portfolio of global HNW and UHNW private clients. Andrew then moved into RBC’s Investment Services division, providing bespoke investment advice to RBC Trustees.

In 2011 Andrew joined Fairbairn Private Bank (now Nedbank Private Wealth) to lead the private client and intermediary Business Development team in the Channel Islands, building an extensive network of contacts across the Channel Islands, UK and a number of International Finance Centres.

Prior to joining Rathbones in 2023, Andrew held the role of Trust Director, initially with Nedgroup Trust and then Suntera Global following its acquisition of Nedgroup Trust.
