Alan joined Rathbones in October 2005. He became co-manager of the Rathbone Income Fund in October 2018. Alan has previously managed and co-managed a number of UK, European and global equity funds for Rathbones.
He graduated from the University of Strathclyde with an MSc Finance and also holds degrees in Accounting & Finance and Chemical Sciences from the Universities of Glasgow and Edinburgh, respectively. Alan holds the Investment Management Certificate (IMC) and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder.

She holds the both the Chartered Financial Planner designation and Fellow status from the Personal Finance Society. She is also studying towards the Internationally recognised Financial planner TM certification from the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment.
Alanah is passionate about proving a holistic financial planning service including matters such as tax planning, Retirement income planning, Inheritance tax and estate planning.

Alastair has spent his entire working career in private client investment management in London, starting in 1984 at Vickers da Costa. Alastair joined Laurence Keen, which subsequently became part of Rathbones, in 1992.

Alastair is an investment director and Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment. He manages portfolios for a wide range of clients including private individuals, trusts and charities.
Alastair graduated from Durham University with an honours degree in Engineering. His financial career began at KPMG and Blackadders Wealth Management before joining Speirs & Jeffrey in 2004. Speirs & Jeffrey was fully integrated with Rathbones in July 2019.

Alastair is a Chartered Wealth Manager and Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment. He has a law degree from The University of Dundee as well as an MBA from the University of Strathclyde Graduate School of Business.
He joined James Finlay Investment Management in 1987 where he worked as an investment manager until the company was acquired by Brewin Dolphin in 1996 where he served as a divisional director until joining Rathbones in 2015.
Alastair has over 25 years of experience in private client investment management. He grew up in England but was educated in Scotland and works across the UK with a diverse client base specialising in the management of family wealth. He has long experience in collectives management as well as direct equity and bond market investment.
He is a trustee of the Scottish Cot Death Trust.

Prior to joining Rathbones in December 2007, Alex worked at HSBC Investments (formerly James Capel) for eight years managing investment portfolios for charities and private clients. At HSBC Alex was a member of the UK Stock Committee and specifically covered the engineering, aerospace and defence sectors.

Alex is head of collectives research for Rathbones. He is responsible for carrying out quantitative and qualitative analysis to select funds for recommended use within portfolios managed at Rathbones across different asset classes and strategies. He sits on Rathbone’s Collectives Research Committees and also assists the Rathbone multi-asset portfolios team with their collectives’ investments.
Alex joined Rathbones in May 2015. Prior to joining, he worked for the British Steel Pension Fund and Dimensional Fund Advisors, specialising in Asia-Pacific and Emerging Markets equity portfolio management.
