Will is a fund manager on the Rathbone Multi-Asset Portfolio Funds, the offshore Luxembourg-based SICAVs, as well as the Rathbones Managed Portfolio Service (MPS), working alongside David Coombs. He joined Rathbones in 2007, having worked previously as a specialist researcher for Theisen Securities. At Rathbones, Will joined the charities team, and was appointed as an investment manager in 2011, running institutional multi-asset mandates. He has been on the multi-asset team since 2015 and is a member of Rathbones’ Fixed Income Funds Committee.

Will graduated from the University of Manchester Institute of Science of Technology with a BSc Hons in Management, and is a CFA charterholder.

Will graduated from the University of Bristol with a BSc in Economics and Politics. He started his career at BWD Rensburg in Liverpool in 2000 until he left to join UBS in London six years later. After three years in the capital, he returned to Liverpool with Charles Stanley before joining Rathbones.

He is a Fellow of the CISI which gives him FCSI status and he is also a Chartered Wealth Manager. Over his career, he has managed the investments of private clients, trusts and charities within a variety of investment wrappers.

Will is an Investment Director working in London. Will joined Rathbones in 2023 after 10 years of managing wealth for individuals and families at Investec Wealth and investment. Before joining Investec, Will spent over a decade with HSBC and specialises in managing investment portfolios whilst working with clients and their advisors to minimise their current tax exposure and plan for the succession of family wealth. He has extensive knowledge and experience of utilising the benefits of complex wrappers including trusts, family investment companies and offshore bonds to help his clients achieve their financial goals.

William graduated from Manchester University with a 2:1 degree in History and started his career at Douglas Deakin Young (now part of Duncan Lawrie) in 2000.

William joined Rathbones in September 2014 from Jupiter Asset Management, having also previously worked at Bestinvest. Throughout his career he has managed portfolios for a wide variety of families, individual clients, pension funds and charities, and spends much of his time working with Independent Financial Advisers and on behalf of their clients.

William is a Chartered Member of the CISI (MCSI).

William is a Chartered Financial Planner with the Chartered Insurance Institute, a member of The Society of Trustee and Estate Practitioners and is in the process of becoming a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society. 

He joined Rathbones in 2017, from Lansdown Place Wealth Management, where he spent time advising clients on all aspects of financial planning.

William has experience in providing holistic financial advice to a wide range of individuals, families, trusts and business owners. He helps clients across a broad range of areas including protecting their wealth, investment and retirement planning, and succession and inheritance tax planning.

William is a Chartered Financial Planner with the Chartered Insurance Institute, a member of The Society of Trustee and Estate Practitioners and is in the process of becoming a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society.

He joined Bestinvest in 2000 as an investment adviser rising to investment manager and team leader. William then joined Jupiter Asset Management in 2008 to become an investment director in the Private Client and Charities department and joined Rathbones in 2014 following their acquisition of Jupiter’s Private Client department.

Throughout his career, William has focussed on private clients and charities, notably high net worth families, managing a wide range of investment portfolios and mandates such as those for individuals, trusts, SIPPs, charities and offshore accounts.

William is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investments (CISI) and holds the CISI Diploma, which is a level 6 qualification. William lives in the country with an ever-expanding family and enjoys all that this brings. He particularly enjoys skiing, surfing and golf when he finds the time.

William is an investment manager specialising in providing bespoke investment solutions to private clients, large families, advisors, pensions, trusts, and charities. William graduated from Northumbria University in 2015 with an honours degree in Biomedical Science. He went on to work in the microbiology diagnostic labs at the RVI and Freeman hospitals in Newcastle before joining Speirs & Jeffrey in September 2016. Speirs & Jeffrey was then acquired by Rathbones.

He is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investments, having obtained the Investment Advice Diploma and Chartered Wealth Manager (CWM) qualifications. He sits on the Rathbones UK and Private Equity Collective Committee and is responsible for the research of Private Equity collectives.
