Jamie McLaren

Jamie joined Rathbones in 2025 as part of the merger with Investec Wealth & Investment (UK) as a Financial Planning Director.

Jamie provides bespoke financial advice to support clients through every stage of their financial journey – from the accumulation and management of wealth, to utilising savings in retirement, and wealth preservation for future generations.

Jamie started his career in financial services at Murray Asset Management where he subsequently took on the responsibility of Financial Planning Director. He then joined the team at Investec Wealth & Investment (UK) following the acquisition of Murray Asset Management in 2023. Jamie has a degree in Economics BSc (Hons) from the University of St Andrews and also hold the Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning with the Personal Finance Society.
