The Role
As part of the wider enterprise architecture community this role will help solve business problems, support organisational change, helping the firm achieve targeted business outcomes related to growing revenue, optimising costs, mitigating risks and driving innovation. With a focus on supporting the development of the business strategy and business architecture of the organisation as a whole
Outcomes of the Role
• Supports the definition and maturing the business architecture framework, process and integrates to the wider frameworks, processes & people and being an advocate of the wider architecture practice
• Builds relationships, rapport and trust across technology, change and business stakeholders from exec level to SME, the chief of staff and the client office to name a few
• Integrates themselves into the architecture practice, business change, transformation and change teams to ensure alignment across business, change and technology.
• Ensures the implications of the business strategy and operations are clearly articulated, and that changes and enhancements to business capabilities, processes, business ecosystem relationships, financial/investments, people and organizational structure are fully optimized in support of the business strategy
• Supports the establishment and continued alignment of the group’s business strategy as well as the overarching strategic planning process define the delivery roadmap with the transformation office.
• Provokes froward thinking “outside the box” target states as well as planning and executing innovation and emerging business projects to take new ideas/opportunities from the ideation phase to the initiation phase of the change process
• Shares industry insight and trends both from a business and technology perspective to provide insight briefings to our business colleagues and provoke future thinking for the firm
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
• Experience in varied level of maturities of architecture capabilities & utilising architecture frameworks
• A broad, enterprise-wide view of the business and varying degrees of appreciation for strategy, processes and capabilities, enabling technologies, and governance
• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to communicate appropriately at all levels of the organization; this includes written and verbal communications as well as visualisations
• Excellent experience of processes across operational, change and delivery
• Articulate technologist with demonstrated ability to communicate between business and technology on a peer basis and at senior level
• Strong situational analysis and decision making abilities
• University degree (or equivalent) – Desirable
• 3-5 Years in Architecture- Required &Architecture Framework (e.g. Togaf) - Desirable
• BCS Architecture Certification or equivalent industry recognised Business Architecture qualification
