Toby Saunders joined Rathbones in 2024 as an Investment Director, bringing over a decade of experience in wealth management. He works closely with individuals, families, charities, trusts, and pension schemes to help them achieve their financial goals, protect and grow their wealth, and gain confidence in their investment decisions.

Toby began his career at J M Finn, where he trained as an Investment Manager, before moving to Quilter Cheviot in 2018. He holds a degree in Neuroscience from the University of Manchester and is a Chartered Wealth Manager.

His specialist areas include pensions (including NHS and armed forces schemes), inheritance and family planning, responsible investing, and business exit strategies. Toby is also a Trustee of a local charity and an active member of the Bristol Junior Chamber. Outside of work, he enjoys long-distance running, playing football, and philosophy.

Laura Hobbs, Investment Director has 15 years’ experience in financial services, with over a decade working with not for profit clients. Laura joined Rathbones as an Investment Director within the specialist Greenbank team in 2022 where she is dedicated to advising and managing investments for charity clients.

Previously Laura held positions at Brunel Pension Partnership, where she was Responsible Investment Manager for £40bn of public and private assets and at CCLA, where she was Deputy Head of Ethical and Responsible Investment. Laura started her career as an energy sector analyst and trained as a portfolio manager at Barclays Wealth.

She is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Charterholder, has the CFA Certificate in ESG Investment and has both an Undergraduate Honours Degree and Master’s Degree in Geographical Sciences from the University of Bristol. Laura also sits on the investment committee of the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) as an independent sustainable investment advisor.

Cameron joined the Greenbank investment research team in 2022 and is an investment analyst, responsible for ethical and sustainable investment research, coverage, appraisal and generating new stock ideas to recommend to the Stock Selection Committee for UK and overseas equities. 

He began his career at PwC where he spent 3 years in Financial Assurance and another 3 years in ESG Assurance. Cameron holds a BSc (Hons) in Accounting and Finance from Birmingham University, an MSc (Hons) in International Management from Exeter University and is a chartered accountant (ACA) with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.

She is responsible for evaluating investments against a comprehensive range of environmental, social, and governance criteria, and conducting in-depth thematic research on emerging responsible investment issues. She has a strong background in environmental research, climate policy, and sustainability consulting, having worked at PwC and an economic consultancy firm. 

Lauren holds a B.A. (Mod) in Economics and Social Studies from Trinity College Dublin and an MSc in Environmental Economics and Climate Change from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
