Esme joined Greenbank in October 2020 as a client service executive. She has worked in financial roles since 2017. Esme graduated from the University of the West of England in 2018 with a first class degree in Business Management with Accounting and Finance (Ba Hons).

Esme is a diploma level qualified member of the CII (DipPFS), having achieved the level 4 diploma in financial advice. She continues to study in this area with a special interest in ESG investments.

He has a first-class Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Physics with Astrophysics from the University of Leicester. He began his career working at Morgan Stanley before heading to Close Brothers Asset Management.

He joined Greenbank in 2021 from Epworth Investment Management, where he was head of investment management. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Charterholder, having graduated in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from Jesus College Oxford. He has a master’s degree in Japanese Studies from the University of Leeds. He has experience as a charity trustee and is currently a trustee director of a charity defined benefit pension scheme.

He also holds the CFA Certificate in ESG Investing. Joel began his career at BDO LLP, where he spent four years as an auditor. He qualified as an ICAEW ACA Chartered Accountant in September 2019. Prior to this, he read History at Durham University, graduating in 2016.

Kai conducts analysis of investments against a range of environmental, social and governance criteria for both new ideas and companies in Greenbank’s investment universe, as well as for leading thematic research into key responsible investment issues. He is also an investment analyst, responsible for ethical and sustainable equity research. Kai joined the ethical, sustainable and impact research team in March 2019 after graduating from the University of Cambridge with a BA in Law and he is a CFA Charterholder.

Betsy joined Greenbank in January 2021 and is an assistant investment manager. She spent her first year at Rathbones working with the anti-money laundering team. She then spent 15 months on the trainee rotation programme, gaining in-depth experience and knowledge of Rathbones by exposure to a variety of departments.

Betsy is an associate member of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investments, having achieved the CISI Level 4 Investment Advice Diploma (Securities) in July 2020. She passed her Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Level 1 exam in July 2021.
