Tom is the CEO of Rathbones Asset Management, having joined us in March 2022 as chief investment officer. Tom has over 25 years’ experience in the industry and joined from Sanlam UK where he was head of asset management. 

Tom spent much of his career as a fund manager with M&G and Schroders before co-founding the investment boutique FOUR Capital Partners, which was then bought by Sanlam. Tom is also Chartered Accountant, having worked at Coopers & Lybrand (now PricewaterhouseCoopers). 

Tom is the CEO of Rathbones Asset Management, having joined us in March 2022 as chief investment officer. Emma joined in October 2024 as the equity research analyst for Rathbones Multi-Asset and Rathbones Greenbank Multi-Asset funds. Prior to joining Rathbones, Emma spent seven years covering the European Consumer Staples sector as an equity research analyst at RBC Capital Markets. She is a CFA charterholder and graduated from the University of Nottingham with a first in BSc Economics.

Emma joined in October 2024 as the equity research analyst for Rathbones Multi-Asset and Rathbones Greenbank Multi-Asset funds. Prior to joining Rathbones, Emma spent seven years covering the European Consumer Staples sector as an equity research analyst at RBC Capital Markets. Tom is the investment specialist for the Rathbones Multi-Asset Portfolio fund range. Joining Rathbones in April 2025, Tom brings 13 years of financial services experience. He started his career at Brewin Dolphin in investment management, where he was part of a team managing discretionary portfolios for private clients and financial advisers. He then moved into asset management, focusing on managing professional and institutional client relationships across London and the southeast of England, firstly at Sanlam Asset Management before moving to boutique asset manager Amati Global Investors. In these roles he covered a wide variety of asset classes from global equities, fixed income, property, and commodities. He is an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment.

Tim is the head of global emerging market equities and fund manager. Tim is responsible for overseeing the global emerging market equity strategies at RAM. He has almost 40 years of investment experience. Before RAM he was Investment Director at GAM, in a similar role, for 12 years. He has also worked as Senior Portfolio Manager, managing long/short emerging market equities at CQS, and Senior Portfolio Manager and Director at Cazenove Capital Management. Earlier in his career he ran portfolios at BlackRock (formerly Merrill Lynch Investment Managers) and HSBC Asset Management (Hong Kong and New York), after which he became Managing Director/Head of EM Research & Strategy of major sell-side positions. Tim is also a Chartered AI analyst.

Lisa is the Head of Asia ex-Japan Equities and fund manager. Lisa joined from Prusik Investment Management where she was a Partner and Portfolio Manager and was instrumental in setting up and leading its sustainable investing capabilities. Prior to this she was a fund manager at Columbia Threadneedle for over a decade and led several Asia equities institutional portfolios. Lisa started her career in academic research and was a tenure track Assistant Professor in Engineering at the National University of Singapore. Lisa serves as a Board Trustee and on the Investment Committee of Foundation Scotland and is an INED of Sime Darby Properties.

Sally is the fixed income research analyst for the Rathbone Multi-Asset and Rathbone Greenbank Multi-Asset Portfolio funds. Sally joined Rathbones in September 2022 as an analyst for the Rathbone Fixed Income Team. Prior to joining Rathbones, she worked in fixed income and private wealth management at Evans and Partners in Australia. Sally graduated from Monash University, Melbourne, with a Bachelor of Pharmacy (with Honours) and Bachelor of Commerce (majoring in Finance) and is currently a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Level 3 candidate.

Sally is the fixed income research analyst for the Rathbone Multi-Asset and Rathbone Greenbank Multi-Asset Portfolio funds. Christie is assistant fund manager in the fixed income team.

Christie joined Rathbones in January 2024, arriving with 15 years of experience in fixed income markets, most recently at Vanguard where she spent eight years as an assistant portfolio manager on global corporate Environment Social and Governance (ESG) funds and ETFs, and as a senior trader focused on European and UK government and corporate bonds. Prior to this she was an emerging markets trader and portfolio manager for Stanlib in South Africa.

She has an honours degree in Investment Management from the University of Pretoria (cum laude), is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder and holds the Financial Risk Manager qualification.

Hannah joined Rathbones in 2021 as a Portfolio Management Assistant for the Multi-Asset team, after graduating from Royal Holloway University of London with a first-class degree in Management with Accounting. During her studies and as part of her degree she undertook a 14-month placement, working as a Wealth Management Assistant at Ascot Wealth Management.

Hannah joined Rathbones in 2021 as a Portfolio Management Assistant for the Multi-Asset team, after graduating from Royal Holloway University of London with a first-class degree in Management with Accounting. During her studies and as part of her degree she undertook a 14-month placement, working as a Wealth Management Assistant at Ascot Wealth Management.

Robbie is an equity analyst on the Rathbone UK Opportunities Fund. He joined us in October 2021, having previously worked at Mirabaud Asset Management as a UK equity fund analyst. Robbie is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder as well as a chartered accountant and member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland (ICAS), having started his career on the graduate programme at Ernst & Young. Robbie graduated from the University of Cambridge with a Master’s degree in Economics and also holds the Investment Management Certificate (IMC).  

Outside of work, Robbie’s a sports fanatic, enjoying riverside runs, five-a-side football and tennis (when the weather permits). He keeps his mind sharp with intense one-minute games of chess. His Duolingo streak has left him with an enviable Spanish vocabulary, yet the inability to speak with any kind of proper accent. He looks back fondly on the ‘golden age’ of HBO television, counting The Wire and The Sopranos as his favourite series.
