Sarah joined Rathbones Trust Company in 2011 after qualifying as a Chartered Tax Advisor. Sarah specialises in Personal Tax, advising on both compliance matters and tax planning. Sarah is a member of both the Chartered Institute of Taxation and the Association of Taxation Technicians. Sarah became a member of both organisations after completing her Bachelor Degree at Keele University in History and Sociology. 

After qualifying as a tax technician, Sarah predominantly gave advice to owner manager businesses and companies. However, since joining Rathbones she has specialised in Personal Taxation and Inheritance Tax.

Michael is a Chartered financial planner who joined Rathbones in 2018. He passionately believes in his work and takes huge satisfaction from bringing security and peace of mind to people that want to grow and protect their wealth.

He has almost 10 years’ industry experience, over which time he has helped clients at all stages of life plan positively for the future. This includes (but is not limited to) tax-efficient investing, pension and retirement planning and inheritance tax planning. Michael takes a thoughtful and hard-working approach, bolstered by strong technical knowledge and a desire to deliver the best results for his clients.

Gary is an investment director, he is also a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment having qualified in 2002.  Gary joined the investment management team in May 2000, working as an assistant to help manage private client portfolios. He became an associate director in 2005 and an investment director in 2010.

Gary started his career at Coutts before moving to Granville Investment Management where he worked for a number of years alongside two investment directors. He joined Rathbones in 1996 as a settlement manager and was promoted to help run the middle office in 1998.

Gary is an investment director, he is also a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment having qualified in 2002.  Gary joined the investment management team in May 2000, working as an assistant to help manage private client portfolios. Ben joined Rathbones Investment Management International in Jersey in May 2019. He is a client manager with responsibility for the growth of the overseas institutional and private client base with an emphasis on the Middle East. Ben, who graduated from Swansea University with a BSc in Mathematics, began his finance career in 2011 at NatWest Offshore in Jersey, where he was an international wealth manager. He subsequently managed a portfolio of high net worth clients at HSBC Expat; and most recently he worked at Brooks Macdonald International as a client manager with a focus on private clients in the Middle East.

Ben is a Chartered Wealth Manager and is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (CISI), having passed the CISI Certificate in Private Client Investment Advice and Management (PCIAM) with merit. He holds the CISI Investment Advice Diploma (IAD) and the CISI Islamic Finance Qualification. He has recently passed the first paper of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) qualification and plans to continue his studies.

Jenny previously held internships at Polar Capital, Artemis Investment Management and Odey Asset Management.

Jenny holds a BSC (Hons) Economics degree from the University of Birmingham.

Max began his career in 2019 working at STANLIB Fund Managers in Jersey, where he worked on the multi-manager team assisting with fund research and fund analysis across all asset classes. Max holds the CISI Investment Advice Diploma and is studying towards the Level 7 Chartered Wealth Manager qualification.

Within Rathbones she chairs Investment Managers Network and a member of the Industrials and Resources Equities Selection Committee.

Elizabeth and her team aim to give peace of mind to their clients, safe in the knowledge that their wealth is being managed professionally and conscientiously.

Elizabeth is a CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) charterholder and a Chartered Member of the CISI (Charted Institute of Securities and Investment) having achieved the Investment Advice Diploma. She holds a combined honours degree in Economics and Mathematics from Newcastle University.

Christie joined Rathbones in January 2024, arriving with 15 years of experience in fixed income markets, most recently at Vanguard where she spent eight years as an assistant portfolio manager on global corporate Environment Social and Governance (ESG) funds and ETFs, and as a senior trader focused on European and UK government and corporate bonds. Prior to this she was an emerging markets trader and portfolio manager for Stanlib in South Africa.

She has an honours degree in Investment Management from the University of Pretoria (cum laude), is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder and holds the Financial Risk Manager qualification.

Chris has been helping clients for almost two decades, with a particular specialism in partners at PwC and other accountancy and law practices, as well as barristers and other city professionals. Chris has a Masters Degree in Economics from the University of Cambridge, is a Chartered Financial Planner and a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society. He joined Saunderson House (SHL) in 2007 and is now part of Rathbones Financial Planning following the acquisition of SHL in October 2021.

He enjoys that each client is unique, with their own personal goals and wishes, and likes nothing more than working collaboratively to achieve them. He has a particular interest in the use of cash flow modelling to tailor a high-level roadmap for each client, which helps shape the strategy adopted in other areas. This typically includes helping clients decide how their families can be best protected, how to grow their portfolio, when they can afford to retire and how they can live the life they wish. 

Outside of work, Chris is a sports fanatic and enjoys many weekends playing hockey or softball, as well as hitting the ski slopes in winter. He is also a keen cyclist, having completed various multi-day international rides for charity. Chris also spent two summers teaching sports to children in the USA, before starting his financial planning career.
