Gemma joined Rathbones as Head of Charities Distribution in February 2025.
 
She was previously Co-Head of Global Social Impact at BlackRock and Co-President of The BlackRock Foundation where she led on strategic philanthropic partnerships in financial security and sustainability. Gemma was formerly Head of BlackRock’s dedicated Charities & Endowments Team, a leading institutional non-profit investment manager. Prior to joining BlackRock in 2016, she was a Partner at NewSmith Asset Management responsible for marketing and business development. She started her career as an Analyst at Merrill Lynch Investment Managers.
 
Gemma holds an MA degree in Geography from St Catharine’s College, Cambridge. She has been a Trustee of The Girls’ Network Charity, a school Community Governor and volunteers as a Funding Panellist with The Fore and Mentor with the King’s Trust.

I also work closely with private bank colleagues to help give access to the expertise that Investec can offer.

Saskia is a Chartered Financial Planner and joined Saunderson House (now Rathbones Financial Planning) in 2019 after graduating from the University of Exeter with a degree in Mathematics and Economics.

Saskia enjoys working closely with her clients to help them identify and achieve their financial goals. Through advising on matters such as income planning, asset structuring, retirement planning, and estate planning Saskia aims to provide clients with peace of mind over their finances so that they can enjoy their wealth to the fullest. Outside of work Saskia enjoys going for long walks in the countryside, travelling and spending time with family and friends.

Glen is an investment director managing discretionary portfolios for family clients, private individuals, their self-invested personal pension (SIPP) and small charities. Glen is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute for securities and Investments and has 30 years experience of working within the investment management industry. He became part of Neilson Cobbold in 1991 which was then acquired by Rathbones in 1996.

As well as the day to day management of clients portfolios, Glen sits on the Investment Committee covering collectives and is closely involved with the strategic development of the Group’s IT systems and technological support of its investment management operations.

Christopher is an investment director based in the Winchester office. He specialises in managing portfolios for private individuals including the investments held in their associated trusts, pension funds, private companies and charities.

He is an individually Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment and won the FT Extel Prize awarded by the Institute for its diploma examinations in 1996/97. After graduating from Cambridge University, he trained with Smith & Williamson Securities and Wise Speke Limited before joining Rathbones Group in 1997.   

Christopher is an investment director based in the Winchester office. David is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment, a Chartered Wealth Manager and holds an Honours degree in Financial and Business Economics.

Prior to joining Rathbones, Giles spent over two years working as a Financial Services consultant at one of the top 5 professional services firm. He is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment and has won two awards for his achievements in completing the Level 7 Wealth Manager qualification. He also has a Level 6 Diploma in Investment Compliance. As a result of these achievements, Giles sits on the CISI Level 7 Financial Markets exam panel as a Subject Matter Expert. Outside of work, Giles is a trustee of the Somerset Community Foundation and a member of its Investment Committee.

Mary has over 17 years’ experience in financial services, having previously worked for Lloyds Banking Group and BGC Partners. She gained her AAT Accounting Certificate in 2001 and became a full member of the Association of Accounting Technicians in 2002.
