Andy joined Rathbones from Brewin Dolphin where he was a divisional director in the Newcastle Office.

Andy is a Fellow of CISI with 27 years experience in the financial service sector having previously worked for Barclays Bank before joining Brewin Dolphin in 1996.

Over the last 20 years, Andy has amassed a wide range of experience in dealing with the fast pace and changing face of investment markets, his knowledge has enabled him to provide an invaluable steer and insight for all of his clients through several market cycles.

At Rathbones Andy is continuing to manage portfolios on a discretionary basis for individuals, trusts, companies, pension funds and charities.

Thomas is a risk analyst at Rathbones. He joined the company in December 2014, initially working as a portfolio modelling assistant within a large private client team. Thomas later went on to work as an investment manager’s assistant supporting an investment director with the management of client’s investment portfolios. Thomas then joined the research team in 2016.

Thomas graduated from the University of Hertfordshire in 2014, with a first-class honours degree in Mathematics; and holds the Investment Management Certificate.

Hollie Curtis is an investment manager and a Chartered Fellow of the Institute for Securities and Investments. She joined Rathbones in 2017 having spent nine years at Brewin Dolphin managing private client portfolios from their Lymington and London offices. Robert is an Investment Director and he has over 25 years’ experience managing risk-adjusted multi-asset portfolios for wealthy private clients, trusts, pensions and charities.

After graduating from University and RMA Sandhurst Robert served as an Army Officer for four years before joining the City stockbrokers Laurence Keen that was acquired by Rathbones in 1995. He is qualified as a Chartered Wealth Manager and is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment.  Robert has had a number of senior leadership roles within the business and spent 12 years on the Executive and Management Committees.

Robert is an Alderman of the City of London and Past Master of the Guild of Investment Managers.  He is also on the Boards of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment and the Impact Investing Institute.

David has been recognised as one the UK’s leading HNW Wealth Managers in the Spear’s 500, is highlighted on the Citywealth Leaders List and earlier in his career was named in Private Client Practitioner’s Top 35 under 35 on three occasions. He was awarded the inaugural Spear’s ‘young turk’ Wealth Manager of the Year title in 2012.

Sarah joined Rathbones Trust Company in 2011 after qualifying as a Chartered Tax Advisor. Sarah specialises in Personal Tax, advising on both compliance matters and tax planning. Sarah is a member of both the Chartered Institute of Taxation and the Association of Taxation Technicians. Sarah became a member of both organisations after completing her Bachelor Degree at Keele University in History and Sociology. 

After qualifying as a tax technician, Sarah predominantly gave advice to owner manager businesses and companies. However, since joining Rathbones she has specialised in Personal Taxation and Inheritance Tax.

Michael takes a thoughtful and hard-working approach, bolstered by strong technical knowledge and a desire to deliver the best results for his clients.

Gary is an investment director, he is also a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment having qualified in 2002.  Gary joined the investment management team in May 2000, working as an assistant to help manage private client portfolios. He became an associate director in 2005 and an investment director in 2010.

Gary started his career at Coutts before moving to Granville Investment Management where he worked for a number of years alongside two investment directors. He joined Rathbones in 1996 as a settlement manager and was promoted to help run the middle office in 1998.

Ben joined Rathbones Investment Management International in Jersey in May 2019. He is a client manager with responsibility for the growth of the overseas institutional and private client base with an emphasis on the Middle East. Ben, who graduated from Swansea University with a BSc in Mathematics, began his finance career in 2011 at NatWest Offshore in Jersey, where he was an international wealth manager. He subsequently managed a portfolio of high net worth clients at HSBC Expat; and most recently he worked at Brooks Macdonald International as a client manager with a focus on private clients in the Middle East.

Ben is a Chartered Wealth Manager and is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (CISI), having passed the CISI Certificate in Private Client Investment Advice and Management (PCIAM) with merit. He holds the CISI Investment Advice Diploma (IAD) and the CISI Islamic Finance Qualification. He has recently passed the first paper of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) qualification and plans to continue his studies.
