I lead the fixed income team within Rathbones Investment Management. A key area of my focus is credit analysis (including financial & non-financial issuers). Working alongside colleagues, my analysis supports the direct fixed income mandates that are managed by the team. I am currently the co-chair of the fixed income committee and a voting member of portfolio construction committee. I previously was a voting member of Investec Wealth & Investment’s Global Asset Allocation (GAAC) committee.

Ozge Brinkworth

Ozge joined the Rathbones equity research team in July 2019 following the acquisition of Speirs & Jeffrey. She is responsible for generating new stock ideas to recommend to the Stock Selection Committees for both UK and overseas equities and for maintaining coverage of securities held in oil & gas and healthcare sectors. Ozge has worked as an investment analyst for Speirs Jeffrey since 2001 covering both UK and international companies as well as collective investments. Prior to joining Speirs & Jeffrey, Ozge worked as an equity analyst in Turkey for four years.

Joe is an investment manager at Greenbank, specialising in managing ethical portfolios on behalf of private clients, trusts and charities. He is a chartered member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment and has been awarded the Institute’s masters level Chartered Wealth Manager qualification. He joined Greenbank in 2014 having previously worked for educational charity Teach First as a secondary school Physics teacher. He is a Physics and Philosophy graduate with a BSc and MA from Bristol University.

I am part of a team of investment managers solely dedicated to investing in portfolios of equities listed on AIM (Alternative Investment Market) for clients across the business. The primary objective of our AIM IHT portfolios is to mitigate inheritance tax liabilities for investors, with a focus on reducing volatility whilst still generating an attractive investment return. We manage over 2,000 individual client portfolios each with a position in between 20-40 companies.

Archie Pearson

Archie joined Rathbones in 2018 as a voting and governance analyst. He supports Matt Crossman, on the stewardship team, ensuring informed proxy voting and corporate engagement activities as part of Rathbones’ stewardship policies, and helping to promote the integration of ESG within the investment process. Prior to Rathbones, Archie worked for Oikocredit in their UK and Ireland office. During his time there, he worked as a client executive, tasked with generating capital from individuals and institutions.

David Black

I am part of the team in the Leeds office that manages portfolios on behalf of individuals, trusts, charities, solvency II clients and self-invested pension plans (SIPPs), as well as dealing with investments held within offshore bond wrappers. I always seek to deliver a high level of client service by creating tailored and bespoke investment solutions, and building long lasting relationships along the way. This also involves working closely with other professional advisers, including independent financial advisers, solicitors and accountants.

Isobel Gingell

Isobel is an Investment Director in the Cambridge office. Prior to joining Rathbones, she was an Investment Director at Brooks Macdonald for 11 years, firstly based in the Channel Islands and then from 2018 in the East Anglia office. She is responsible for managing investment portfolios for private individuals, pensions, trusts and charities and currently sit on the Structured Return research committee. She is a Chartered Fellow of the Institute for Securities (CISI) and Investment and hold the CISI Level 7 Diploma in Wealth Management and the CFA Certificate in ESG investing.

Nicholas Hall

Nicholas joined Rathbones in April 2016 from HSBC where he had spent the last 28 years working in the Discretionary Wealth Management division. He graduated from the University of Southampton in 1984 with a bachelor’s degree in Politics and International Studies.

Tony Smith

Tony returned to Speirs & Jeffrey in 2015 after a seven-year break in his native New Zealand where he worked as a senior investment advisor for Forsyth Barr – New Zealand’s largest investment company. Tony was originally with S&J for 18 years, latterly as an associate director. He was appointed an investment director in May 2017 and manages investment portfolios for a wide range of clients. Speirs & Jeffrey was fully integrated with Rathbones in July 2019. Tony is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment.
