Through an intensive training programme, Ben and Laura have achieved an Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning. This news highlights the importance that Rathbones places on supporting junior talent through development.

Rathbones’ Financial Planning team have built a clear structural training and development programme that offers significant support to junior team members as they undertake their industry qualifications. The development programme was launched three years ago, and of the 23-strong financial planning team, six roles have since been created.

Ben joined Rathbones in early 2017 and is a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society. He graduated from the University of York in 2009 with a BSc (Hons) in Environment, Economics and Ecology. Ben also holds a Masters from the University of Leeds in Engineering Geology. He previously worked as an Environmental Manager on large national infrastructure projects before moving to Rathbones to pursue a career within Financial Planning.

Laura joined the team in 2017 and has 10 years’ experience in the financial services industry.  And she recently achieved Chartered Financial Planner status. Laura has worked for a number of financial institutions including Canada Life and Succession Group.
