The sophisticated fraud uses real documents, marketing materials and website links, it also refers to investment products that are genuinely available. However, the scammers seeks to obtain personal information and bank account details for fraudulent purposes.
The fraudsters have used online advertising which at first glance may look legitimate. Please be alert to the risk of investment fraud.
We do not conduct business by unsolicited emails or phone calls. We have secure processes for transferring money to and from bank accounts which ensure the identity of our clients and ourselves.
If you receive an unexpected communication supposedly from Rathbones, please exercise caution and do not share any personal information or send any money. It is often impossible to get back your money if you have been subject to fraud and Rathbones will have no responsibility for any loss you may incur.
