James Kyle

Newcastle James.Kyle@rathbones.comJames was one of the founding members of the Rathbones Newcastle office when it opened in the city in 2013. Prior to that he was a Director at UBS Wealth Management. He has 22 years investment industry experience and specialises in the management of private client, trust, offshore and pension fund portfolios.
James graduated in Law from Newcastle University in 1998, holds the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment (CISI) Diploma and is a Chartered Fellow of the CISI. James currently sits on the Appeals Committee of St Oswald’s Hospice charity and is a former trustee of the Great North Air Ambulance Service.
Kirstie McKeown

Newcastle Kirstie.McKeown@rathbones.comKirstie joined Rathbones in February 2013 to assist in establishing the Newcastle office. Previously she spent over 25 years working for Lloyds Private Banking and Lloyds TSB Independent Financial Advisers. Kirstie is part of the specialist personal injury and Court of Protection team at Rathbones and has advised deputies and trustees in this area for over a decade.
Kirstie qualified as a Chartered Financial Planner in 2007 and became a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society in 2008. She specialises in the provision of holistic financial planning to high-net-worth individuals.
Adam Lowe
Assistant investment manager
London Adam.Lowe@rathbones.comAdam joined Rathbones in 2021 as an assistant investment manager after spending two and a half years at Investec. During his time at Investec, Adam worked as a portfolio manager where he managed multi asset portfolios on behalf of private clients, pension funds and charities. He graduated from the University of Bristol in 2018 with a degree in Economics and has since achieved the Level 7 Chartered Wealth Manager qualification.
Amy Kirby

London Amy.Kirby@rathbones.comAmy joined Rathbones in 2013. She manages private client and Personal Injury & Court of Protection portfolios. Amy is a member of the Rathbones Fixed Income Collectives Committee.
She is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment, having obtained the Chartered Wealth Manager qualification in 2017. In doing so, she became the youngest person to achieve this qualification aged 21. Amy also holds the CII Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning. Amy was the winner of the Rising Talent Award at the 2021 PIMFA Diversity & Inclusion Awards.
Bradley Wright

London Bradley.Wright@rathbones.comBrad joined Rathbones as a financial planner in 2021 following a move cross-country to London from the south-west and specialises in providing advice to clients and their representatives within Rathbones’ Court of Protection team. With over 8 years’ of experience within the financial planning and wealth management profession, he brings a range of experience from a career spent at large regional firms in a variety of different roles and is passionate about delivering the right outcome, providing tailored financial advice and tax structuring for personal injury claimants and clients in later life.
Brad holds a master’s degree in Commercial Law from the University of Edinburgh and prior to this, gained a first class honours degree in European Business Management.
Charlie Head
Investment manager
London Charlie.Head@rathbones.comCharlie is an Investment Manager in Rathbones' specialist Court of Protection and Personal Injury team. He joined Rathbones in April 2020 following the acquisition of Barclays Court of Protection and Personal Injury team, where he was a specialist Wealth Manager.
Since graduating in 2014 with a degree in Economics, Charlie has over eight years of experience in the provision of specialist investment advice for recipients of personal injury awards and their legal representatives, including lay and professional deputies and trustees, to ensure that they are able to enjoy the best possible quality of life without compromising their financial security.
Charlie is an active supporter of Cerebra, a national charity helping children with brain conditions and their families, and Stem4, a charity supporting positive mental health in teenagers. Charlie took part in the 2019 and 2022 RideLondon cycle events on their behalf.
Charlie is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment and a Member of the Chartered Insurance Institute.
Chris Gardner

Liverpool Chris.Gardner@rathbones.comChris has over 13 years' investment management and financial planning experience. He is a specialist in providing advice to recipients of personal injury and clinical negligence awards.
Chris works closely with clients, their families, legal representatives, trustees of personal injury trusts and deputies appointed by the Court of Protection.
He is experienced working with a wide range of claimants, including minors and brain-injured clients. Chris prides himself in providing solutions tailored to the individual needs of each client, depending on their circumstances, financial sophistication as well as the nature and severity of their injuries enabling them to make informed decisions to ensure they maximise their lifestyle without jeopardising their future security.
When he is not helping his clients he enjoys spending time with his family, travelling and experiencing new cultures. Chris is a founding member of the North West fundraising group for the Child Brain Injury Trust.
He is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investments and a Chartered Financial Planner of the Chartered Insurance Institute.
Harpal Sra

London Harpal.Sra@rathbones.comHarpal has 13 years of experience in investment management. He joined Rathbones as a specialist personal injury and Court of Protection adviser having previously held this role at Barclays Wealth and Tilney.
He advises families, public authority bodies, leading law firms on the financial affairs of extremely vulnerable clients and individuals who have received a personal injury award. Harpal is a proud supporter of the Child Brain Injury Trust, raising charitable donations and organising events.
Harpal is a Chartered Investment Manager and a Chartered Financial Planner. He was previously ranked by eprivateclient as a top 35 under 35 adviser.
Justin Armet

Edinburgh Justin.Armet@rathbones.comJustin is an investment director and has a broad range of investment mandates including those for private clients, SIPPs, trusts, and local charities. Justin is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment, an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers in Scotland and holds the Private Client Investment Advice and Management (PCIAM) which is a CISI Level 6 qualification.
Justin started his career in investment management in 1988 with Bank of Scotland, initially as a trainee investment manager. During his time with Bank of Scotland he was also responsible for developing and marketing the service. He joined Rathbones' Edinburgh office in 2010 following the acquisition of the Bank of Scotland business from Lloyds.
Kat Harrington-Milne

Liverpool Kat.Harrington-Milne@rathbones.comKat has worked with recipients of personal injury awards for 20 years. She provides specialist advice to clients, professional and lay deputies and guardians, and trustees of personal injury awards. Kat joined Rathbones in 2020 from Barclays Wealth.
Kat is passionate about helping her clients, together with their legal representatives, take control of their financial future. Her goal is to ensure every client can make informed decisions, driven by a clear understanding on how this might affect their long term financial position. Her advice is tailored to the individual needs of each client, depending on their circumstances, as well as the nature and severity of their injuries.
She is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investments and a Chartered Financial Planner of the Chartered Insurance Institute. Kat is working towards the Society of Trust and Estates Practitioners Diploma.
When not helping clients, Kat attempts to train her sproodle.
Ned Fox
Investment director
London Ned.Fox@rathbones.comNed joined Rathbones in 2020, having started his career at Smith & Williamson in 2009 where he managed a range of private client, pension and trust portfolios. He was the firm’s specialist on the UK banks sector, as well as leading collective research into UK equity and alternative credit funds.
Ned graduated from the University of St Andrews in 2009, and is a CFA charterholder and a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment.
Neil Hardman

Edinburgh neil.hardman@rathbones.comNeil is an investment director and has over 10 years’ experience of managing investments for a wide range of private clients, trusts and charities. Prior to joining Rathbones, Neil was an investment director at Evelyn Partners where he worked since 2011 . As well as being a member of the Scotland charity team, Neil was also a member of the direct equity committee where he helped guide the process for investing in direct equities throughout the wider company. Neil is a Chartered Fellow of the CISI and holds a 2:1 MA in History and International Relations from Aberdeen University.
Paul Phazey

London Paul.Phazey@rathbones.comPaul joined Rathbones in 2015 having spent 25 years with Gerrard and its predecessor companies which subsumed into Barclays Wealth.
Since 2007, Paul has worked with a large number of specialist professionals in personal injury and Court of Protection, aiding lay and public authority deputies with the wealth management and broader finances of an extremely vulnerable client base. He is a proud supporter of Headway East London, Headway Blackpool and Wyre & Fylde, raising charitable donations with his team from various events and adventures over the past decade.

Paul Sayers

He provides financial advice for clients and their representatives, enabling them to make informed decisions to ensure they maximise their lifestyle without jeopardising their future security.
Paul is a member of the personal injury and Court of Protection team, providing financial advice and tax structuring for personal injury claimants and clients in later life, working with Court of Protection deputies, trustees and individual clients.
In his spare time he is a director for Cranleigh Riding for the Disabled.
Stuart Martin

Stuart graduated from St. Andrews University with an honours degree in Economics/Finance. After obtaining his qualifications at Tilney, Stuart took a year out travelling around the world before returning to work at Charles Stanley in Edinburgh. He returned to Glasgow and joined Speirs & Jeffrey in 2003. Speirs & Jeffrey was fully integrated with Rathbones in July 2019.
Stuart Milne

Glasgow Stuart.Milne@rathbones.comStuart graduated in 2013 with an honours degree in Economics & Finance from the University of Strathclyde. Shortly thereafter he joined Speirs & Jeffrey.
Having completed the graduate investment management program and qualified as an investment manager at Speirs & Jeffrey, Stuart chose to deepen his investment expertise, spending two years as a research analyst where his responsibilities included research coverage of global equity funds and a range of quoted equities. Stuart returned to working as an investment manager as he enjoys the ability to continue to analyse investments while seeing first-hand the benefits well-chosen investments have on meeting his clients’ goals.
Stuart is a CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) charterholder and Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment.
