Jonathan is an investment director at Greenbank, specialising in managing tailored investment portfolios with a focus on sustainability, impact and ESG considerations. He started his career as an investment adviser at Tilney Investment Management and has since held roles at Close Brothers Asset Management and Sanlam Private Office, working with both private clients and professional intermediaries.

Jonathan holds the Investment Management Certificate, the Private Client Investment Advice and Management Diploma and the CISI Masters in Wealth Management. He is also a CFA Charterholder and holds the CFA Certificate in ESG Investing as well as the STEP Certificate for Financial Services.

A Chartered Fellow of the Institute for Securities and Investments, Jonathan has a B.A. in Management Studies with Spanish from the University of Nottingham. He joined Rathbones in March 2022 and provides values-based investment solutions for private clients, trusts and charities, with an emphasis on ethical and socially responsible portfolios.

Bertie works alongside Freddie Bennett and Jessie Finelli providing personalised investment management services to individuals, their pensions and family trusts. Prior to this he managed a team in the Investment Risk department having joined Rathbones in 2018.

Bertie graduated from Oxford Brookes University with a degree in Business and Geography. He is a member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments (CISI) and holds the Investment Advice Diploma (IAD) and Level 7 Chartered Wealth Manager qualifications.

Rupert joined Rathbones in 2021 as an investment manager, having started his career with WH Ireland in 2010. He specialises in the management of bespoke private client, pension, trust, charitable and institutional portfolios.

Rupert graduated from the University of Bristol with a degree in Economics, is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (CISI) and holds the designation Chartered Wealth Manager, following completion of the level 7 Chartered Wealth Manager qualification. He is also a member of the Guild of Investment Managers.

Rupert was named as one of Citywire’s Top 100 Wealth Managers in 2019.

James has previous experience working as a research analyst, specialising on Transport and Media companies as well as UK collectives. Prior to his career he studied Economics at the University of Nottingham, achieving a first class degree.

Isabella joined Rathbones in 2021 from Connor Broadley, a boutique wealth manager, where she looked after private client portfolios and the company’s AIM Portfolio Fund.

After graduating from the University of Bristol in 2007, Isabella began working in the City as an analyst before going on to spend just under 10 years with JM Finn, where she both managed private client portfolios and was a Fund Manager on the JM Finn Global Opportunities Fund.

Isabella is a Chartered Member of the CISI (Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment) and sits on the Rathbones Thematic Research Committee on climate change.

Andrew works closely with Tony Smith and Graeme Dickie in Glasgow, providing investment management services to private individuals, pensions, and trusts. He completed an undergraduate degree at Glasgow Caledonian University in Finance, Investment and Risk. After obtaining a 2:1, he went on to complete a Master’s degree in Investment Fund Management, achieving a Merit from the University of Glasgow.

Andrew joined Speirs & Jeffrey in 2018 on their graduate scheme before Speirs & Jeffrey was fully integrated with Rathbones in July 2019.

He has achieved the CISI Level 4 Diploma in Investment Advice as well as the CISI level 7 Diploma in Wealth Management and is now a member of the Chartered Institute.

He joined the Greenbank team within Rathbones in August 2020 and was awarded the CISI’s Masters level Chartered Wealth Manager qualification in December 2021. He also holds the CFA Certificate in ESG Investing. Joel began his career at BDO LLP, where he spent four years as an auditor. He qualified as an ICAEW ACA Chartered Accountant in September 2019. Prior to this, he read History at Durham University, graduating in 2016.
