James is an Investment Manager at Rathbones, working alongside Elliot Bancroft and Olivia Marlow in the running of their client portfolios. Prior to joining Rathbones in 2021, James spent three years as an analyst for the multi-family office Artorius Wealth, working with ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families.

James graduated from the University of Bristol in 2018 with a first-class degree in Politics and International Relations. He is a CFA charterholder and has attained the Investment Management Certificate (IMC). James is also a trustee of the Royal Opera House Benevolent Fund.

Jake joined Rathbone Investment Management International (Jersey) in November 2016 as part of the Rathbone Graduate Programme. Jake assisted with the management of portfolios for individuals, trusts, companies and charities and has experience working with offshore investment mandates. Jake moved to Rathbones in London in June 2018 and works alongside Jane Sydenham and Nehal Desai.

Jake graduated from the University of Kent with a Distinction in an MSc in Finance and Management and a 2:1 Honours degree in International Business. He is part way through his CFA and is qualified as an Associate for the Chartered Securities and Investments (CISI) after completing the Investment Advice Diploma.

Owen joined Rathbones through the graduate scheme in October 2019 and has since become an Assistant Investment Manager in the London office. He works together with Jane Sydenham, Nehal Desai & Jake Huson in providing discretionary investment management services for private individuals, pensions and trusts.

Owen graduated from the University of Manchester with a first-class degree in Economics in June 2019. He has since completed the CISI Investment Advice Diploma and is currently studying towards Level 2 of the CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst). Prior to joining Rathbones, Owen worked at Royal London Asset Management and Hargreaves Lansdown.

Jodie joined Rathbones in Jersey in 2020 before moving to the London office in October 2022. She has experience managing multi-asset discretionary portfolios for private clients, offshore trusts, pensions, and charities. She began her career in 2016 at RBS International where she worked in Institutional FX and Rates Sales.

Jodie is a CFA Charterholder and graduated with a 2.1 BSc Honours degree in International Finance from the University of Buckingham. She is also an Associate of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments and holds the CFA Diploma in Investment Management (ESG).

Adam joined Rathbones in 2021 after spending two and a half years at Investec in a Portfolio Management role. He now manages Personal Injury and Court of Protection Portfolios and relationships, and is a member of the Rathbones Diversifiers Committee.

A graduate of Heriot Watt University, Scott is also a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (CISI) and holder of the Investment Management Certificate (IMC). Scott manages a variety of private client mandates but specialises in tax efficient AIM portfolios.

She joined Rathbones in 2021, having worked previously as a junior responsible investment specialist at HSBC Asset Management. Rahab graduated from the London School of Economics with a BSc in Economics, holds the Investment Management Certificate and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder.

Rahab is the sustainable multi-asset investment specialist for the Rathbone Greenbank Multi-Asset Portfolio funds. Guy is an investment director with over 25 years’ industry experience of managing investments for a wide range of private clients, trusts, charities and corporate entities.

Having worked in London since the 1990s, Guy returned to Scotland in 2008 to help establish HSBC’s private banking operation in the country before going on to head up the Scottish Lloyds Mayfair Private Banking team. He joined Rathbones in January 2021, having been an investment director at Tcam Asset Management until 7IM acquired the business in 2018.

He is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment.

Ian joined Rathbones as a client service executive in April 2020 as part of the acquisition of the Barclays Wealth Court of Protection team.

Prior to joining Rathbones, Ian worked for Barclays for eight years in various roles in their Retail and Wealth divisions. Since joining Rathbones, Ian has continued to provide support to our clients and their deputies/trustees. Ian is currently studying for the CISI Investment Advice Diploma with the hope of offering ever greater support to our clients.

Outside of work, Ian enjoys spending time with his family and two cats whilst watching a copious amount of films and the NFL (when it’s in season).

Julian is a Chartered Wealth Manager and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment with 25 years’ investment management experience. He specialises in managing investments for private clients, trusts, charities, corporates, personal pension funds and the clients of financial advisers. 

Prior to joining Rathbones, Julian spent 12 years as a divisional director at Brewin Dolphin, where he co-managed a large team alongside Investment Manager, Elliot Greenwood. He was also a member of the group’s Asset Allocation Committee, which helped steer company investment policy. While at Brown Shipley he was personally responsible for looking after £100m of high net worth overseas clients, investing directly into global equities, bonds and hedge funds. 

Julian re-joined his long-standing colleagues at Rathbones in February 2021 to take up the position as the team’s senior investment director. He also sits on a number of client reporting & proposition committees.
