Cassandra Williams

Cassandra joined Rathbones in 2025 as Group Risk Officer and is a member of the Group Executive Committee. She has over 25 years of experience in financial services across the UK and Australia.

Cassandra joined from HSBC, where she was Group Head of Regulatory Compliance for International Wealth and Premier Banking, with responsibility for regulatory compliance across global personal banking, private banking, wealth management, insurance and asset management businesses. Prior to this, Cassandra held a number of senior leadership roles at RBC Brewin Dolphin, including Chief Risk Officer and Head of Client Proposition.

Earlier in her career, Cassandra was Chief Enterprise Risk Officer at Afterpay, leading global legal, risk and compliance functions and supporting the company’s acquisition by Block. She has also held senior roles at Commonwealth Bank of Australia, Investec Bank UK and the Financial Services Authority.

Cassandra is a qualified solicitor in England and Wales and holds a Bachelor of Arts and Law from the University of Tasmania.
