James Adams

James joined the Strategic Partnerships team at Rathbones in 2026 to focus on supporting and strengthening relationships with our most complex intermediary clients. With over 20 years working in Investment Management, 18 of which were spent at BlackRock in various roles, including as Strategic Partners Director and Head of UK Advisory Sales. He has a wealth of experience spanning all aspects of Asset Management and Investment Portfolio Solutions, and a passion for helping advisers deliver positive outcomes for their clients. He has worked for Canaccord Asset Management with the Venture Capital desk and started his career in banking with the Allied Irish Bank, Lloyds TSB and Lloyds Private Banking. James is a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA), holds the IMC and is a CFA Level II candidate.
