Michelle Scrimgeour CBE was appointed an Independent Non-executive Director of Rathbones Group Plc in October 2026. She is a member of the Risk, Audit, Remuneration and Nomination Committee and is expected to succeed as Chair of the Risk Committee, subject to regulatory approval.

Michelle is an experienced business leader with more than three decades of experience in international financial services and asset management. She is currently a Non-Executive Director of Bridgepoint Group PLC and Chair of its Audit and Risk Committee. Previously, she served as Chief Executive Officer of Legal & General Investment Management (LGIM), and before that as Chief Executive, EMEA, at Columbia Threadneedle Investments. Earlier in her career, she served as Chief Risk Officer at M&G Investments and held several senior leadership roles at BlackRock and its predecessor firms.

Michelle has held a number of industry leadership positions, including Deputy Chair of the Investment Association, Chair of the UK Government's Asset Management Taskforce Technology Working Group and member of the FCA Practitioner Panel. She was awarded a CBE in 2025 for services to the asset management industry.
