Our approach to lending

Portfolio secured lending
If a short or medium-term cash flow requirement arises, clients can borrow against the value of their portfolio and avoid the need to sell their investments.
- Borrow up to 50% of the value of your discretionary investment portfolio (GIAs, ISAs, or offshore bonds not held in trust)
- Minimum loan value: £50,000
- Initial term available: 1-10 years
- Repayment method: interest-only, payable quarterly in arrears
- Currencies available: GBP, USD, EUR, CHF
- Flexible loan-to-value (LTV) may be available, meaning the amount you can borrow can vary depending on your circumstances
- Not available to borrow against Self-Invested Personal Pensions (SIPP) or execution-only portfolios
How loans are secured
Portfolio secured lending is secured against the value of your investment portfolio.
As with any investment, the value of your portfolio can fall as well as rise. If the value of your security falls, you may need to reduce your borrowing or provide additional security to remain within agreed limits. In some cases, assets may need to be sold to bring the loan back within those limits.
