Rathbones commits to grow Vision with new CEO
Rathbones has made a fresh commitment to build its Vision Independent Financial Planning (“Vision IFP”) subsidiary as part of its overall growth strategy for the Group in 2026 and beyond.
The decision follows a three-month strategic review of the Vision business. Phil Towner, currently Head of Wealth in Vision IFP, will lead a new plan for growth and, subject to regulatory approval, be appointed CEO of Vision IFP in April following Zoe King’s planned retirement. Phil Towner will report to Jonathan Sorrell, Rathbones Group Chief Executive.
“I am excited that Phil Towner will be working with me to drive the next phase of growth at Vision as we look to develop all our businesses across the Group,” said Jonathan Sorrell. “There are many opportunities ahead for Vision and we will continue to strengthen our ability to capitalise on them with further investment in the network.”
“I am delighted that Rathbones has re-affirmed its commitment to develop Vision” said Tony Overy, interim Chairman of Vision IFP. “The strategic review validated the strength and quality of Vision and its network, and I would like to thank all involved. I would like to recognise Zoe’s fantastic contribution to Vision and wish her well for the future.”
Vision IFP operates an independent network of 140 self-employed financial advisers and has client funds under advice of £6.9bn. Tony Overy will continue as interim Chairman of Vision IFP whilst Rathbones commences a search for a permanent Chair.
