| • New Industrial Placement initiative offers earlier avenues into Rathbones • Expansion of existing schemes will strengthen the business’ long-term talent pool • Rathbones is proud to invest in people in support of its long-term growth ambitions |
Rathbones, one of the UK’s leading wealth and asset management groups, is pleased to announce new initiatives that will broaden access to careers in the business, strengthen its early talent pipeline and support its long-term growth ambitions.
The firm will, for the first time, run a year-in-industry programme for university students, enabling it to engage high-potential talent earlier and create new routes into the sector. The nine-month placements, starting in September 2026, will help build a strong pipeline into the 2028 graduate scheme.
In addition, Rathbones is expanding its existing graduate scheme to include placements in Rathbones Asset Management for the first time. Graduates will start in September, joining other cohorts across Wealth.
Rathbones will also welcome summer interns across Data and Technology to its offices in London, Liverpool and Glasgow, a further group of school-leaver apprentices into Wealth, and a contingent of interns through its partnership with the 10,000 Interns programme, supporting underrepresented graduates across the UK.
Lorna Williamson, Head of Emerging Talent, says: “This year marks an important step in how Rathbones is developing its future talent, building on a strong graduate foundation by creating new routes into the business. This expansion reflects a deliberate approach to broadening access, creating opportunity and investing in the people who will help shape our future. Our people are at the heart of what we do, and we look forward to welcoming early career talent into the business.”
Nifemi Fasanya, an Industrial Placement student, starts in September. She said: “Navigating the corporate space as a young professional comes with hurdles but choosing Rathbones was a no-brainer. I wanted to experience wealth management at a firm that prioritises positive legacy, stewardship and client-first values in an increasingly reactive world. I can't wait to see true stakeholder management in action.”
Rathbones is proud to invest in people in support of its long-term growth strategy and ambition to be the best wealth manager in the UK, by far. Placements and school-leaver apprenticeships across Rathbones’ business areas and locations complement the graduate academy, creating more ways for people to build careers in the organisation while helping to develop a broad and resilient future workforce.
