James is an investment director and Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI). He joined Rathbones in 1993 having moved from Sheppards and Chase (IW&I) which subsequently became part of Rathbones during September 2023.James heads his team and has worked alongside James Mayes since 1993.James specialises in private client portfolio management, associated trusts, self-invested pensions schemes as well as charities. In addition, he holds an SEC license.

Steve is the Head of the Strategic Partnership and Regional Intermediary Distribution teams at Rathbones, spanning the firm’s wealth and asset management solutions. Prior to joining Rathbones, Steve spent 14 years at Columbia Threadneedle Investments, where he was most recently Co-Head of UK Distribution and a member of the EMEA Distribution Senior Leadership Team. He previously held the roles of Head of Advisory & Strategic Partners and Director, Third Party Distribution at the company.

Sam is the Head of Discretionary and Global Financial Institutions. Before this he was a Business Development Director at Franklin Templeton, for seven years, with responsibility for establishing and maintaining relationships across multi-managers, global financial institutions, private banks, family offices, DFMs and advisory clients. He also spent seven years at Hermes Fund Managers in wholesale business development in the UK and Channel Islands.

She is responsible for evaluating investments against a comprehensive range of environmental, social, and governance criteria, and conducting in-depth thematic research on emerging responsible investment issues. She has a strong background in environmental research, climate policy, and sustainability consulting, having worked at PwC and an economic consultancy firm.
