My priority is to help my clients achieve their financial goals. I am responsible for managing their investment portfolios in a way which best meets their objectives, be it helping them grow their assets, generate an income or anything in between. These portfolios include ISA's, general investment accounts, personal pensions and other tax friendly vehicles, such as trusts and charities. I also sit on the Edinburgh Management Committee and lead one of the Edinburgh investment teams.

Brian works within the portfolio management team for Rathbones Private Office and the Investec Strategic Partnership. Brian’s career in wealth management started in 2008 with Merrill Lynch in San Diego, California. He went on to work with a Dublin-based, Berkshire Hathaway subsidiary specialising in fixed income asset management, before joining the Bank of America Merrill Lynch graduate programme in London.

He has worked in the industry since his graduation in 1994.

Darren Carr

Darren started his career in 1987 at Southampton based stockbrokers Cobbold Roach, working in numerous “back office” departments until 1994 when Cobbold Roach was acquired by Liverpool based stockbroker Neilson Milnes. Neilson Milnes were acquired by Rathbone Brothers in 1998. Following a series of management positions Darren became Head of Operations in 2008 and in 2021 became Operations Director. Darren is a fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investments.
