Andrew is an investment director responsible for the investment management of private clients, trusts, charities and self-invested personal pension (SIPP) accounts. He started his working life with Cazenove in London and Salisbury, moving up to Edinburgh in 1994 to work for Ivory & Sime Private Clients before helping to arrange its sale to Rathbones in 1998. He has over 40 years' experience in financial markets and is a member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment.

Alastair Childs

Alastair has spent his entire working career in private client investment management in London, starting in 1984 at Vickers da Costa. Alastair joined Laurence Keen, which subsequently became part of Rathbones, in 1992.

Ian is an investment director and has over 30 years’ experience in the discretionary management of investment portfolios. After graduating in 1982 Ian joined Strauss Turnbull where he spent 20 years managing international portfolios for private individuals, trusts and corporate funds before joining Rathbones’ Edinburgh office in 2003.
Ian became a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments in 1986.

David Shepherd

David Shepherd is a Senior Investment Director, jointly responsible for managing private client, trust, and charity portfolios. David began his career at Rathbones in 2001 following the acquisition by JP Morgan Chase of his previous firm, Flemings. Prior to this, David worked in the Lloyd’s insurance market, advising members of Lloyd’s. This has been invaluable experience as he now manages a range of Lloyd’s portfolios alongside traditional private client funds.
David is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment.
