I predominantly specialise in bespoke discretionary portfolio management for private clients, corporate clients, trusts, pensions and charities.
Steven Haines

Steve is an investment director at Rathbones having joined in 2014 and manages a broad range of private client portfolios, trusts and self-invested pension schemes. He started his career at Williams de Broë (now Investec) in 2011. Steve is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment and a Chartered Wealth Manager. He is a member of the Rathbones Financial Adviser Investment team.
Carl Stick

Carl has managed the Rathbone Income Fund since the 1 January 2000, having joined Rathbones in 1998. He is one of the longest serving managers in the UK Equity Income sector, with one of the best performance records over that time. He has spent two decades holding executive roles within Rathbones Asset Management, and was closely involved in the creation and evolution of the team’s investment process. He is a member of the CFA Institute and a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Securities & Investment.
Alan Dobbie

Alan joined Rathbones in October 2005 and was made co-manager of the Rathbone Income Fund in October 2018. He has previously managed and co-managed a number of UK, European and global equity funds for Rathbones. Alan is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder and holds the Investment Management Certificate.
James Thomson

James has been the lead manager of the Rathbone Global Opportunities Fund since 2003; he was assistant manager of the fund at its inception in 2001. It is one of the top performing funds in the IA Global sector over that period. James joined Rathbones in 2000, having grown up on the island of Bermuda and graduating from Cornell University in New York. He sits on the Executive Committee of Rathbones Asset Management, is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment and holds the Investment Management Certificate.
Siyuan Lin

Siyuan is a global equity analyst for Rathbones Asset Management who also works on sustainable investment ideas for the Rathbone Greenbank Global Sustainability Fund. Siyuan joined Rathbones in April 2013, having worked as a research analyst for three years in Martin Currie’s emerging markets team. She speaks three languages and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder. Siyuan also holds the Investment Management Certificate.
Sammy Dow

Sammy co-manages the Rathbones Global Opportunities Fund with James Thomson. He joined Rathbones in July 2014 from JP Morgan Cazenove, where he worked for 14 years in Pan- European Equity Sales providing both primary and secondary advice to Hedge Funds, Institutional and Private clients. Sammy has a Bachelor’s degree from Edinburgh University and completed a Master’s degree at Cambridge University in 2001.
Alexandra Jackson

Alexandra is the manager of the Rathbone UK Opportunities Fund. She was appointed co-manager in June 2014 and named sole manager in August 2017. Previously she was assistant fund manager on the Rathbone Global Opportunities Fund.
Bryn Jones

Bryn is the head of fixed income for Rathbones and is lead manager on the Rathbone Ethical Bond Fund and the Rathbone Strategic Bond Fund. He joined Rathbones in November 2004 from Merrill Lynch, where he managed $2 billion of fixed income assets.
David Coombs

David heads our multi-asset investments team, which manages the Rathbone Multi-Asset and Rathbone Greenbank Portfolio funds. He joined Rathbones in 2007 after spending 19 years with Baring Asset Management, where he managed multi-asset funds and segregated mandates. He began his career with Hambros Bank in 1984.

She works with a number of teams within the business and is primarily responsible for all platform relationships ensuring Rathbone Funds are represented to suit the needs of our clients. Gail joined Rathbones in July 2000, having previously been based in Jersey, working within the insurance industry.
Neil Smith

Neil Smith is a sustainable investment analyst; he works closely with David and the team to provide in-depth investment analysis with a focus on sustainable investment. He graduated from Plymouth University with a Bachelor of Science degree in law and politics. Neil has over fourteen years’ experience working for Rathbones Asset Management. He holds the Investment Management Certificate.
