Stuart works with Bryn Jones, assisting in the management of the Rathbone Ethical Bond Fund and the Rathbone Strategic Bond Fund. He is also the lead fund manager of the Rathbone High Quality Bond Fund.
Stuart joined Rathbones in September 2017 and was made an Assistant Fund Manager in January 2020, then Fund Manager in January 2022. Previously, he gained three years industry experience at Brown Shipley.
Kirsten Douglas

Kirsten assists Andy Pitt and Gareth Pearl with the administration of charity portfolios. She joined Rathbones early in 2017, after previously working for JP Morgan for over 10 years in client services.
Kirsten graduated from Edinburgh University with a BA (Hons) degree in Business Management.
Thomas Weston-Davies

Thomas specialises in managing investment portfolios for private individuals, pensions, trusts and charities. Within Rathbones he sits on the Strategic Asset Allocation Committee.Thomas joined Rathbones in May 2012, after graduating from the University of St Andrews with a honours degree in History. He is a CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) charterholder and holds a Masters in Finance from London Business School.
Michael Hanna

Michael is a corporate development analyst supporting Rupert Pepper as part of the team responsible for coordinating the M&A activities for the Group and leading Group-wide strategic projects. Prior to his current role, Michael worked as an assistant investment manager within a team specialising in the management of private clients, pension schemes and trusts.
Freddy Snowden

Freddy is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investments. He assists James Pettit and Alex Turnbull in managing client portfolios on a day to day basis. Freddy sits on the Charities Global Equities Stock Selection Committee as well as the Charity Fixed Income and Managed Funds Committee. Freddy is also a member of the Rathbones diversity taskforce.
Prior to joining Rathbones in 2018, Freddy spent two and a half years at Hargreave Hale as an investment manager’s assistant working with private clients, trusts and charities.
Arron Silk

Arron is the associate sales director at Rathbones, responsible for the South of England. He joined Rathbones in July 2018, having spent over three years as a regional sales manager for Liontrust. Arron brings over 12 years’ industry experience, having also worked at Kames Capital and Transact in a variety of client-focused roles.
Nick Beanland

Based in the Leeds Office, Nick joined Rathbones in 2024 as an Investment manager. He enjoys managing multi-asset portfolios for private individuals, pension funds, trusts and companies. His primary focus is on building close relationships with clients and delivering the highest quality of service.
Nick is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment, a Chartered Wealth Manager and holds an honours degree in Sociology. He has over 25 years of industry experience, having most recently worked as an investment director at Brown Shipley.
James Thomson

James Thomson has been lead manager of the Rathbone Global Opportunities Fund for the past 20 years and it is one of the top performing funds in the IA Global sector.
James joined Rathbones in 2000, having grown up on the island of Bermuda and graduating from Cornell University in New York. He holds the Investment Management Certificate, is a Fellow of the Securities Institute and sits on the Executive Committee of Rathbones fund management business.
Mark Cowan

Mark is an investment director with many years of investment experience. He manages portfolios for a wide range of individuals, families, trusts, pension funds and charitable organisations.
Mark joined Speirs & Jeffrey in 1989 after studying business studies at college and is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment. Speirs & Jeffrey was fully integrated with Rathbones in July 2019.
