Matthew Haworth

Matthew joined Rathbones as an investment director in June 2014. He specialises in managing investment portfolios for private clients, pension funds, trusts, charities and private companies.
Matthew began his career in 1994 at Robson Cotterell which went on to become part of Charles Stanley in 2002. He was an investment manager at Deutsche Bank Asset & Wealth Management for 6 ½ years before joining Rathbones.
Jess Phipps-Carter

Jess joined Rathbones in November 2018 as an administration assistant supporting Rupert Baron, Charles Sargent, Thomas Weston-Davies and Elizabeth Hart. Jess was promoted to Client Service Executive in January 2021.
Jess graduated from Brunel University in 2015 with an honours degree in Economics and Business Finance.
Adrian Maxwell

Adrian joined Rathbones in 2004 after graduating from the University of Liverpool with an honours degree in Financial Economics and is currently Head of Charities in Liverpool.He specialises in the management of charity portfolios, as well as managing private clients’ assets including ISAs, SIPPs and trusts.
Ann Watchorn

Ann joined Rathbones in 2007 and works as a client service executive for Robert Hughes-Penney. She has more than 25 years’ experience working in the finance industry. Prior to joining Rathbones, Ann worked for a firm of accountants/football agents specialising in professional footballers where she was responsible for managing their personal administration.
She has a certificate in Investment Administration level 3 from the Securities & Investment Institute (2009), and obtained a BA (Hons) in Humanities with Classical Studies from the Open University in 2015.
David Harrison

David is the head of sustainability and lead fund manager of the Rathbone Greenbank Global Sustainability Fund at Rathbones Asset Management. David joined Rathbones in June 2014 after 14 years working in equity analysis and fund management, including time at Hermes and Goldman Sachs. David is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder and holds the Investment Management Certificate. He graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Economics and Politics from the University of Southampton.
Rowland Flower

Rowland began his investment career in 1997 at Fleming Private Asset Management (subsequently acquired by JP Morgan Chase) where he built up a solid grounding in equity research before becoming a private client portfolio manager. In 2001, he joined HSBC Investment Management, where he was made a director and ultimately responsible for a team managing over £200m of assets.
Sarah Sepanski

Sarah works in our Cambridge office, helping Simon Whitmore to look after the needs of his clients. She joined Rathbones in June 2013 after taking time off to raise her family. Sarah commenced her career in financial services with SSgA before moving to the corporate broking team at Deutsche Bank, then the corporate finance team at Collins Stewart.
James Pettit

James has completed an MSc in banking and international finance from Cass (now Bayes) Business School. James joined Rathbones in January 2008 as an investment manager. Prior to joining Rathbones, James worked at HSBC Investments for four years, specialising in the management of portfolios for charities and other not-for-profit organisations. James sits on the Collectives Research Committee at Rathbones, covering infrastructure and listed private equity funds.
Oliver Craven

Oliver heads up the Strategic Partnership Team which provides a holistic wealth service to the clients of Investec. He manages a team of investment managers, financial planners and portfolio managers who sole focus is to achieve positive client outcomes. Oliver joined Rathbones in 2019 having come from Goldman Sachs as an investment manager, where his responsibility was to bring in new business and to manage the investments of UHNW clients.
Adam Joy

Adam is an investment director, having joined Rathbones in November 2019 from Aberdeen Standard Capital where he was a senior portfolio manager. Working with Will Kinman, he manages discretionary investment portfolios for UK & offshore domiciled individuals, companies and trusts.
Christophe Borysiewicz

Christophe has 18 years’ experience in providing and managing investment solutions for charities, not-for-profit organisations, and pension funds. He joined Greenbank in 2021 from Epworth Investment Management, where he was head of investment management. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Charterholder, having graduated in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from Jesus College Oxford. He has a master’s degree in Japanese Studies from the University of Leeds. He has experience as a charity trustee and is currently a trustee director of a charity defined benefit pension scheme.
Christopher Buxton

Christopher joined Rathbones in 2012. He manages discretionary investment portfolios for charities, trusts and private individuals as well as for family office arrangements. Christopher is a member of the Rathbones’ International Stock Selection Committee.
Prior to joining Rathbones, Christopher worked at Taylor Young Investment Management Ltd where he was a senior investment manager and manager of the Growth & Income Fund.
