Rathbones Group Plc – 3rd Quarter Results
Rathbones Group Plc (“Rathbones”) announces a trading update for the three months ended 30 September 2018.
Philip Howell, Chief Executive of Rathbones Group Plc, said:
“Our continuing growth and the acquisition of Speirs & Jeffrey on 31 August 2018 helped our total funds under management increase to £47.3 billion at 30 September 2018. This increase in scale places us in a strong position to continue to improve our service to clients and, mindful of recent volatility in investment markets, to maintain our disciplined investment in the business.”

An enormous painting of an urban scene strewn with bin bags and graffiti, and overgrown with twisted plants and weeds, is the winner of the John Moores Painting Prize Visitors’ Choice 2014, sponsored by Rathbones.
Since the exhibition opened in July, visitors have been voting in their thousands for their favourite work. With such a varied selection people were spoilt for choice between eerie photorealist works, stunning portraiture, landscape and figurative work or intriguing abstract paintings.

Rathbones Winchester sponsors world’s first Scout-led expedition to Antarctica
A Hampshire Scout has successfully completed the world’s first Scout expedition to Antarctica. The polar expedition, sponsored by Rathbones Winchester, saw Joe Doherty, (25) become the first to ski to the South Pole and to complete the return leg of his journey by wind-powered kite ski.
After man-hauling food and kit, enduring average temperatures of -27 degrees Celsius and regularly climbing to an altitude of 2900 metres, Joe reached the South Pole after a gruelling 45 days. He successfully completed the expedition in just 61 days.

Rathbones moves to sixth place in charity finance fund management survey 2014
Rathbones has moved to sixth place in this year’s Charity Finance Fund Management Survey, up from ninth place in 2013, as its charity funds under management hit nearly £3bn.
Appointment of Chief Executive Officer
After achieving a successful period of considerable growth, the board of Rathbones Group Plc (“Rathbones”) announces that Philip Howell will retire as Chief Executive Officer and from the board by the 2019 Annual General Meeting on 9th May 2019. The Board has appointed Paul Stockton as his successor, subject to regulatory approval. Paul has been Group Finance Director of Rathbones for nearly a decade and was appointed Managing Director of Rathbone Investment Management in May of this year.
