Gary Taylor is a financial planning director, joining Rathbones in 2012 from RSM Tenon PLC, a national firm of accountants. Gary has a wealth of experience advising wealthy individuals, entrepreneurs, family businesses and professionals on investment, pension and inheritance tax matters.
Gary has 25 years in the profession, starting his advisory career with Neilson Cobbold (now part of Rathbone Investment Management) and also worked for Hornbuckle Mitchell Pension Trustees as a retirement specialist. He is also a member of the Personal Finance Society and is a Chartered Financial Planner, holding the Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning.
Kirstie joined Rathbones in February 2013 having worked for Lloyds TSB Private Banking and Lloyds TSB Independent Financial Advisers for 25 years. She gained Fellowship of the Personal Finance Society in 2008 and specialises in providing holistic Financial Planning to High Net Worth individuals and companies on pensions, investments, protection, and tax planning matters.
Lee Burberry is a financial planning director and has worked in the financial services industry for over 25 years. Lee is qualified as a Chartered Financial Planner and provides independent advice to clients on all aspects of financial planning.
Lee has extensive experience, having previously worked for Sun Alliance and for Kent based self administered pension specialist D A Phillips & Co. He joined the London pensions department of Rathbones in 1998, and was responsible for the establishment of the Self Invested Personal Pensions (SIPP) administration team in Liverpool in 2002.
Matt joined Rathbones in January 2013 and has nearly 15 years IFA experience within some of the leading global professional firms where he has worked with CEOs and Senior Executives of some of the UK's leading companies, Partners of professional firms and entrepreneurs. He has worked with FTSE listed companies on implementing and communicating complex pension changes for their employees. His areas of specialism include pre and post pensions solutions, complex tax and succession planning, and protection.
Amanda Browning is a Senior Financial Planner for the Bristol Office with over twenty years experience of advising wealthy individuals on a wide range of financial planning matters including inheritance tax mitigation, generational wealth succession, family and business protection and pension planning.
Amanda Joined Rathbones in October from Coutts where she was an Investment Manager for four years. Prior to this she spent twenty years at Lloyds Private Banking covering a broad spectrum of financial and investment planning. She holds qualifications as a Chartered Financial Planner and as a Chartered Wealth Manager.
Amanda is a Fellow Chartered member of the Chartered Insurers Institute as well as a Chartered member of The Chartered Institute for Securities & Investments.
Chris joined Rathbones from a national independent financial adviser and as well as being a Chartered Financial Planner is a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society. Chris has been advising individuals and businesses since 1998 on investment, pension and inheritance tax. His areas of specialism include the planning relating to drawing benefits from pension plans and the use of trusts as part of family financial planning. Chris ensures that all of his clients examine all areas of financial planning to help them and their families plan in an ever increasing complex world.
Ian Stewart is director, responsible for advising individuals, companies and professional partnerships on many aspects of financial planning, including pensions, inheritance tax and trusts. He is a member of the Personal Finance Society and Chartered Insurance Institute and is a Chartered Financial Planner.
Prior to joining Rathbones, Ian established a pension consultancy within the private client division of Collins Stewart.
John is a Financial Planner in our Glasgow office with over 30 years experience in Financial Services.
After graduating from Strathclyde University John joined the firm of James Findlay Investment Management which was subsequently acquired by Brewin Dolphin in 1996.
John is a member of the Personal Finance Society and holds the Diploma in Financial Planning.
John joined Rathbones in July 2015 and is responsible for advising clients in all aspects of Financial Planning.
Richard is a graduate of the London School of Economics and has been working within the financial services industry for ten years. Since joining Rathbones in January 2009 he has successfully obtained Chartered status and is now a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society. Richard provides holistic financial planning to High Net Worth clients and has extensive knowledge and experience in advising clients on: their pensions and meeting specific retirement objectives; structuring investments to maximise tax efficiency; protecting themselves and their families in the event of death or long-term illness; estate planning and the mitigation of inheritance tax.
