Kirstie joined Rathbones in February 2013 having worked for Lloyds TSB Private Banking and Lloyds TSB Independent Financial Advisers for 25 years. She gained Fellowship of the Personal Finance Society in 2008 and specialises in providing holistic Financial Planning to High Net Worth individuals and companies on pensions, investments, protection, and tax planning matters.
Aaron Mcloughlin is a Senior Financial Planner in London with over 10 years of experience in Financial Services, and has joined Rathbones from Kleinwort Benson, where he was Head of Financial Planning. Prior to this he worked with the financial planning team at Lloyds Private Bank covering their London Mayfair office.
Aaron is a Chartered Financial Planner, a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society, and is a qualified Trust and Estate Practitioner, with a specialist qualification in UK Tax Planning for International Clients, from The Society for Trusts and Estate Planning (STEP).
Aaron has significant experience in providing holistic financial advice to Individuals, Corporates, and Trustees. He helps clients across a broad range of areas including protecting their wealth, retirement planning, investment structuring, and has a particular interest in advising on complex tax and succession planning.
Amanda Browning is a Senior Financial Planner for the Bristol Office with over twenty years experience of advising wealthy individuals on a wide range of financial planning matters including inheritance tax mitigation, generational wealth succession, family and business protection and pension planning.
Amanda Joined Rathbones in October from Coutts where she was an Investment Manager for four years. Prior to this she spent twenty years at Lloyds Private Banking covering a broad spectrum of financial and investment planning. She holds qualifications as a Chartered Financial Planner and as a Chartered Wealth Manager.
Amanda is a Fellow Chartered member of the Chartered Insurers Institute as well as a Chartered member of The Chartered Institute for Securities & Investments.
Andy is a Financial Planner with over 14 years’ experience working in the financial services industry and nearly 5 years with Rathbones. Andy holds Diplomas in Financial Planning and Regulated Financial Planning, and is aiming to complete his Level 6 Chartered qualification next year. Andy provides holistic financial planning to high net worth individuals in partnership with Investment Managers and through the building of long-term client relationships in order to help clients achieve their financial goals.
Chris joined Rathbones from a national independent financial adviser and as well as being a Chartered Financial Planner is a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society. Chris has been advising individuals and businesses since 1998 on investment, pension and inheritance tax. His areas of specialism include the planning relating to drawing benefits from pension plans and the use of trusts as part of family financial planning. Chris ensures that all of his clients examine all areas of financial planning to help them and their families plan in an ever increasing complex world.
Colin Monton is a Senior Financial Planner responsible for advising private clients and trusts in all aspects of financial planning. He has been advising private clients and their families on complex estate planning, pension solutions and generational wealth succession since 2001.
Prior to joining Rathbones, Colin was a director at Coutts and HSBC International, advising internationally mobile and non domicile clients on country specific tax solutions and excluded property trusts.
Colin is a Chartered Financial Planner, a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society and a member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment. Furthermore, he holds qualifications from other jurisdictions, well placing him to comment on cross jurisdictional financial planning matters.
David is a Chartered Financial Planner and joined Rathbones in 2018 from Brewin Dolphin where he worked for the last 14 years in both Dundee and Edinburgh.
He started his career as an investment manager, before switching into a Financial Planning role and is now responsible for advising private clients on all aspects of financial planning. David is therefore experienced in working with a fully integrated approach to both financial planning and investment management. He now advises on retirement accumulation and decumulation strategies, tax efficient investment and structures, estate planning and inheritance tax planning and protection planning.
David holds an MA (Hons) in Economics from the University of St Andrews, and is both a Chartered Wealth Manager and Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment, as well as a Chartered Financial Planner with the Chartered Insurance Institute.
David is a Chartered Financial Planner and Fellow of the Personal Finance Society. He joined Rathbones in April 2016 from the multi-family office Stonehage Fleming. David began his financial planning career in 2004 and over that time has provided effective counsel to a varied portfolio of wealthy individuals and families. He has a large professional network and works hard to ensure his clients receive the best possible outcomes and ongoing service.
David has been recognised as one the UK’s leading HNW Wealth Managers in the Spear’s 500, is highlighted on the Citywealth Leaders List and earlier in his career was named in Private Client Practitioner’s Top 35 under 35 on three occasions. He was awarded the inaugural Spear’s ‘young turk’ Wealth Manager of the Year title in 2012.
Kindar joined Rathbones in 2019 with over 20 years’ experience.
Kindar is one of a relatively small number of advisers in the UK to hold both the Chartered Financial Planner designation from the Personal Finance Society and the internationally recognised Certified Financial Planner certification from the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment. She is also a qualified financial neutral through Consensus Collaboration Scotland which allows her to act in collaborative divorce cases.
Kindar is very experienced in providing clients with a holistic financial planning service including advice on matters such as tax efficient wealth structuring, retirement income planning, Inheritance Tax and estate planning. She has a particular interest in cashflow modelling and providing clients with the peace of mind to live their lives the way they want, unburdened by financial worries. Kindar is passionate about the benefits financial planning can offer clients and she truly enjoys being involved in a clients’ financial planning journey and the peace of mind it can bring.
Lloyd is a fully qualified Financial Planner and member of the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII), as well as holding the certificate in Discretionary Investment Management. He has recently re-joined Rathbones after a stint working elsewhere, where he spent time advising clients on all aspects of financial planning as well as honing his skills and technical expertise.
Lloyd believes that the client relationship is the best foundation to help understand how Financial Planning can benefit clients in achieving their long term goals. He is passionate about all areas of Financial Planning with particular focus on Inheritance Tax and Pension planning.
He is in the process of becoming a fellow of the Personal Finance Society and outside of work plays rugby for Esher in National League 1.
Mike is a senior financial planner, joining Rathbones in 2017 from Lloyds Bank Private Clients. Mike has over 30 years’ experience of working in the financial services industry. He is a Chartered Financial Planner and a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society who specialises in providing holistic financial planning to high net worth individuals.
Paul is Chartered Financial Planner with over 25 years’ experience providing face to face financial advice.

Paul specialises in helping personal injury claimants and clients in later life, working with Court of Protection Deputies, Trustees and individual clients.
In his spare time he is a Director for Cranleigh Riding for the Disabled

He joined Rathbones in 2018 after spending 3 years as an Independent Financial Adviser working for Argyle Consulting looking after high net worth clients and has over 20 years working in the financial service industry. Paul provides tailored financial planning advice to our private clients in retirement accumulation and decumulation strategies, tax efficient investment and structures, estate planning and inheritance tax planning and protection planning.
Philip is a Chartered Financial Planner with over nine years’ experience of working collaboratively with his clients to structure their financial affairs to meet their financial objectives. He passionately believes in the value of proper financial planning and has seen the value of the peace of mind and reassurance that planning brings to clients who are uncertain of their long term security and who wish to ensure their affairs are managed in the most suitable and tax efficient manner.
Philip previously worked at the Private Bank C. Hoare & Co, joining Rathbones in August 2016. He is a Chartered Financial Planner and a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments.
Richard is a graduate of the London School of Economics and has been working within the financial services industry for ten years. Since joining Rathbones in January 2009 he has successfully obtained Chartered status and is now a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society. Richard provides holistic financial planning to High Net Worth clients and has extensive knowledge and experience in advising clients on: their pensions and meeting specific retirement objectives; structuring investments to maximise tax efficiency; protecting themselves and their families in the event of death or long-term illness; estate planning and the mitigation of inheritance tax.
William joined Rathbones in 2014 and is a Chartered Financial Planner and a member of the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) responsible for delivering independent financial advice to his clients over a broad range of financial planning. He holds the Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning alongside the Certificate in Discretionary Investment Management and the Certificate in Securities Advice and Dealing.
William’s aim is to make his clients’ lives easier by helping them structure their finances to provide peace of mind so that they are free to spend more time focusing on the issues in life that matter more to them.
William is a fully qualified Financial planner with over 18 years’ experience working in the financial services industry and is a member of the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII). As well as working in a client facing advisory role prior to joining Rathbones, he built up his knowledge of the finance industry while working as an emerging markets equity trader in the City. This has given him deep insight into the issues faced by professional investors and he aims to bring this real world experience, together with a wide range of expertise and knowledge in building and preserving wealth, to his clients.
He completed his MBA from the University of Oxford and is working to complete his level 6 Chartered qualification this year.
