Findlay Ingram

Findlay joined Rathbones in 2018 as an investment manager working with James Goodhew and Camilla Hill. Prior to joining Rathbones, he qualified as a Chartered Wealth Manager at Charles Stanley, where he started his career.

Findlay graduated from Loughborough University with a degree in Economics & Finance and is a member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment.

He specialises in managing investment portfolios for private individuals, pensions and trusts, and has a particular interest in equities and investment trusts.    

Fiona Scade

Fiona Scade joined Rathbones as an Investment Director in 2016.  At Rathbones Fiona concentrates on investments for private individuals, their pensions, family trusts and charities, specialising in the management of multi asset investment portfolios.  Fiona is a qualified Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments and holds the Securities Institute Diploma.  Fiona also holds a Diploma in Financial Planning with the CII.

Having graduated from the University of Nottingham with a 2.1 BSc, Fiona began her career at State Street Global Advisors as a graduate before moving to HSBC Global Asset Management in 2002 where she worked for 14 years in the Discretionary Wealth Management division.  Fiona had many roles during her career at HSBC including Head of Investment Trust Committee and Regional Head for the southern region working closely with clients and their advisers but her primary focus has always been on giving excellent service to her clients.

After 12 years at Brewin Dolphin managing private client investment portfolios, Fiona joined Rathbones in 2014 as an Investment Manager where she looks after a range of discretionary accounts including SIPPs, ISAs and trusts. Fiona is Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment, gained Chartered Wealth Manager  status in 2013 and was recommended in the Citywealth Leaders List 2012.

Freddie Bennett joined Rathbones as an Investment Manager in October 2018 and provides a highly personalised investment management service for individuals, their pensions and family trusts.  Freddie is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments.

Freddie was previously an Investment Manager at Quilter Cheviot where he joined in 2008.  At the 2015 Citywealth Magic Circle Awards, he was runner up for the Tomorrow Club Award.  Freddie has a degree in Business and French from the University of Manchester.

Freddy assists James Pettit and Alex Turnbull in various aspects of managing client portfolios on a day to day basis.

Prior to joining Rathbones, Freddy spent two and a half years at Hargreave Hale working as an Investment Manager’s Assistant on the private client desk. In his studies Freddy attained a BSc Hons in Physical Geography from Newcastle University.

Freddy is a member of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investments achieving a pass with merit in the level 6, Private Client Investment Advice and Management exam. He is currently studying towards the Chartered Wealth Manager Qualification.

Gail is a Partnership Relationship Executive.  Within Rathbones, Gail works with the sales team and is primarily responsible for the platform relationships ensuring RUTM funds are represented to suit the needs of our clients.

Gail joined Rathbones in July 2000, having previously been based in Jersey, working within the insurance industry.

Gareth Pearl

Gareth assists in the management and administration of portfolios as part of the London Charity Team.  Gareth joined Rathbones in November 2015 from Quilter Cheviot where he was a Trainee Investment Manager. Prior to this Gareth graduated from the University of Nottingham in 2012 with a BA (Hons) degree in Politics.

Gareth is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment and, after completing the Investment Management Certificate, obtained the Masters in Wealth Management in 2014.

 

Gary Smith

Gary Smith is an investment director, he is also a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment having qualified in 2002.  Gary joined the investment management team in May 2000, working as an assistant to help manage private client portfolios. He became an associate director in 2005 and an investment director in 2010. He started his career at Coutts before moving to Granville Investment Management where he worked for a number of years alongside two investment directors. He joined Rathbones in 1996 as a settlement manager and was promoted to help run the middle office in 1998.

Georgina Hand

Georgina Hand is an investment director, looking after charities, trusts, personal pension funds and private client portfolios.  She is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment and a member of the Charity Finance Directors Group.

Georgina graduated from Newcastle University in 1999 and spent a short time working for Rowe Price Flemings as a research assistant. She joined Rathbones in 2000 as a graduate trainee, became an associate director in 2005 and an investment director in 2008.

Gill Fleming

Gill is an Investment Manager and a Chartered Fellow of the Institute for Securities.

She is responsible for managing portfolios for private clients and personal pensions (Sipps). She has also built up expertise in the field of portfolio management for trusts, Court of Protection work and charities.

After graduating from Exeter University, Gill went on to complete a postgraduate qualification. Having spent many years teaching economics at undergraduate level, she embarked on a total career change in 2002 and passed the necessary Stockbroking and Investment Management exams before beginning to build up a business on her own, largely by referral. Gill worked at Redmayne Bentley, Charles Stanley and Brewin Dolphin before joining Rathbones in 2018.

Glen Johnson

Glen Johnson is an investment director managing discretionary portfolios for family clients, private individuals, their Self-Invested Personal pension (SIPP) and small charities. Glen is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute for securities and Investments and has 30 years experience of working within the Investment management Industry. He became part of Neilson Cobbold in 1991 which was then acquired by Rathbones in 1996.

As well as the day to day management of clients portfolios, Glen sits on the investment committee covering collectives and is closely involved with the strategic development of the Group’s IT systems and technological support of its investment management operations.

Gordon is an Investment Director and manages investment portfolios for a wide range of clients.

Gordon graduated from Strathclyde University with a degree in analytical chemistry before joining Speirs & Jeffrey in 1992. He is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment. Speirs & Jeffrey was fully integrated with Rathbones in July 2019.

Graeme Dickie

Graeme is an Investment Director and manages portfolios for a broad range of clients. With a background in research Graeme continues to take a considerable interest in smaller companies in the building, construction and real estate sectors.

Graeme graduated from Glasgow University with a law degree and joined Speirs & Jeffrey in 1986. Speirs & Jeffrey was fully integrated with Rathbones in July 2019.

Graham Waddell

A former Director and Chair of Speirs & Jeffrey, Graham is an Investment Director and manages and advises on a full spectrum of client portfolios. Graham was educated in Edinburgh and graduated with a BA in business studies from Napier. He gained experience in several investment firms in Scotland and the United States before joining S&J in 1990.

Graham is a non-executive Director of MacTaggart Scott (Holdings) Ltd and associated companies. He is Chair of the Scottish Stockbrokers Benevolent Fund and acts as a trustee for a number of charities both north and south of the border. Speirs & Jeffrey was fully integrated with Rathbones in July 2019.

Graham Wells is an investment director with Rathbones and has worked in the industry for over 25 years. He is a member of the Chartered Securities Institute.
Graham's qualifications combine both business studies and investment management, giving him a unique insight into investment opportunities. He concentrates exclusively on private client portfolios and has many longstanding happy clients, a number of whom are second generation. He is always keen to talk to potential new clients.

Grant Jordan

Grant’s investment career began in 1999 with a role at Bank of Scotland Portfolio Management Service. He began managing client portfolios in 2005 after securing the Investment Management Certificate. He moved to Rensburg Sheppards (Investec Wealth & Investment) in 2009 and continued managing client portfolios until he left in late 2016. After a short spell at Anderson Strathearn he joined Speirs & Jeffrey in March 2018 as a Senior Investment Manager and works closely with Michael Wilson.

Grant has a business degree from the University of Abertay in Dundee and is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment. Speirs & Jeffrey was fully integrated with Rathbones in July 2019.

Grant has almost 20 years experience in the industry having joined Glasgow stockbrokers Stirling Hendry in 1995 whilst still at university. Starting on the firms graduate trainee program, he progressed to the role of investment manager looking after variety of a private clients, trusts and charities. Through a variety of mergers the firm eventually became part of the Gerrard Group and he moved to Brewin Dolphin in 2005 and became an Assistant Director. He joined Rathbones in May 2015

Grant is a Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments. Outside of the office his interests are running and travel.

Greg Mahon

Greg joined Rathbones in 2002 as an investment director before becoming regional director in 2010. As well as looking after the direction and future development of the Chichester team, he manages a large book of private client portfolios and family groupings, including associated family trusts. He also manages a number of charities based in London and the South.

With nearly 30 years’ investment management behind him, Greg has worked for SNC (now Merrill Lynch), Murray Johnstone Private Investors and Premier Asset Management. He’s a Chartered Wealth Manager and Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment, as well as an IMC member of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Society of the UK.

Greg Mullins

Greg is Head of Sales, responsible for developing relationships with the third-party market: fund platforms, wraps, and life companies, as well as the underlying IFA community that now increasingly rely on these platforms.

Prior to joining Rathbones, Greg worked at M&G for over 20 years where, latterly, he was Director of Advisory Sales. In this role, he was responsible for developing and implementing the UK intermediary sales strategy and maintaining strong relationships across the retail third-party market.

Helen Gerrard

Helen is an Investment Director and started her career at Rathbones in 1987. Helen spent the early part of her career as a dealer and was Senior Dealer for five years before moving into fund management in 1994. Helen then went on to complete her professional qualifications and is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment and a Chartered Wealth Manager.

Helen works in a team with Investment Director Nick Jackson, and they specialise in the management of private clients, Trusts and Pension Funds as well as managing portfolios on behalf of a number of Charities. Helen also contributes to the Rathbone Investment process being a member of the Stock Selection Committee.

Helen is an Associate Sales Director, responsible for discretionary and institutional sales in London.

She joined Rathbones in 2000, having previously worked at Franklin Templeton, and Murray Johnston, responsible for institutional investment trust shareholder relationships.

Henry Donne

Henry Donne is an investment director with over 25 years' experience in the private client industry, both in the UK and Hong Kong. At Rathbones Henry concentrates on investments for private individuals, their pensions and family trust structures. Henry is qualified as a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments and holds the Securities Institute Diploma.

On returning to the UK from Asia in 1997, Henry worked initially at investment managers Raphael Zorn Hemsley and Tilney & Co. before in 2006 joining HSBC Global Asset Management, as a director. This was in the discretionary wealth management division, with regional responsibility for the North and working closely with clients and their advisors. After 10 years service there he moved to Rathbones in 2016.

Henry Eden

Henry Eden is an investment director in the London office responsible for the investment management of private clients, trusts, charities and SIPP accounts. He is also responsible, with two other investment directors in London, for the selection of investment trusts for the group's Managed Funds Committee.

Henry started his career in investment management in 1984 when he joined Wood Mackenzie and subsequently James Capel in London. He joined Rathbones' London office in 1989, initially as an assistant to the former chairman of Rathbones. Henry started in Rathbones Edinburgh office in September 2004 and moved to the London office in 2018.

Henry Robertson is a business development director at Rathbones. He operates from the Liverpool office and covers the north west of England and North Wales. His responsibilities include creating opportunities for investment managers to acquire new business from trustees, both charitable and private, lawyers, accountants and private individuals. He joined Rathbones in 1994. Prior to this he worked at what was then Wise Speke stockbrokers in Manchester.

Huw O'Dell

Huw is an Investment Sales Consultant and is a key point of contact for IFAs, brokers and DFM clients. He works alongside Neil Kerry, responsible for the North.

Prior to joining Rathbones, Huw began his career at Northern Trust, working within Transfer Agency. Huw then moved on to Allfunds Bank in an Account Management capacity, managing the on-boarding of new clients and day to day operations for Allfunds institutional client base. 

Huw holds a BA (Hons) degree in History, Politics and Philosophy from the University of Brighton. 

 

Iain Currie

Iain Currie is an Investment Manager with experience managing a variety of bespoke Portfolios including SIPPs, offshore bonds and discretionary Trusts for private clients, financial advisers and solicitors.

Iain is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment and holds the CISI’s Masters in Wealth Management (Level 7), Investment Management Certificate and a Diploma in Financial Services.  

Iain began his career in Investment Management in 2002 with Bank of Scotland Portfolio Management Service where he rose to the position of Investment Manager before joining Rathbones Edinburgh Office in 2010 following the acquisition of the Bank of Scotland business from Lloyds

Ian is a Consultant to the Trust Department’s Offshore Business. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Peat, Marwick, Mitchell & Co. (now KPMG) in 1975. He was chief executive of Smith & Williamson for ten years from 1985 to 1995, and subsequently chief executive of EFG Private Bank Limited and Tenon Group Plc. He was a director of the Rathbone Brothers Plc until December 2012. He is a committee member of Family Assurance Friendly Society and a director of Miller Insurance Services LLP.

Ian Hardcastle is an investment director, managing a variety of investment portfolios.  Ian graduated in 2000 from Southampton Business School with an honours degree in business studies and is now a Chartered Financial Analyst and a member of the CFA Institute.

Ian started his career as a trainee portfolio manager with HSBC in 2000. Ian spent nine years working in the private client department managing portfolios for private clients, personal pension funds, trusts and charities.  Ian joined Rathbones in 2009.

Ian is the company secretary and operations manager at Rathbone Investment Management International, having been with Rathbones since 2002, after the acquisition of Oaktree Investment Management by Rathbones Brother Plc.

Ian in his current role has responsibility for offshore operations, and oversees the Company Secretarial function.

He began his career with Royal Bank of Canada, then Royal Trust, in 1987 before joining Lazards in 1992. Ian was a member of the team that established the investment management operation for Société Générale in Jersey in 1997 before moving to Oaktree Investment Management, an independent investment business in 1999.

 

Ian Tansley

Ian Tansley is a regional director and specialises in managing bespoke investment portfolios on behalf of private individuals, charities, trusts and pension funds. He is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment and holds an honours degree in Accounting and Finance.

Ian has over 20 years experience in the investment management industry. During his career Ian has forged strong working relationships with a range of National and Midlands based firms of intermediaries including solicitors, accountants and independent financial advisors.

Before joining Rathbones’ Birmingham office, as an investment director in October 2010 Ian worked as a director of Deutsche Bank Private Wealth Management, formerly Tilney Investment Management.
